Congratulations Mia Love for being the first black woman to be elected Mayor of a Utah municipality. Although they were men, you stand in good company with two prevous Utah city mayors, who also were black, George Garwood of South Ogden, and Tim Isom of Sunset.

Make all Utahns proud of you, regardless of our respective ethnic backgouunds.

Good Day Lehi

This is a good day for Lehi. FINALLY, the politics of the good old boy network has been defeated in the incumbent mayor and in the former mayor. These leaders have done nothing but advance their pay to play networks of buddies which have damaged this community for too long! It is time for someone new who still has the good ole Lehi values and history at heart but is willing to listen to ALL the citizens, not just their friends. Just because you brought us Lowes and Cabelas doesn't mean you deserved to continue to rule this City by favoritism to your cronies. Hopefully Ms. Collins doesn't intend to carry on the legacy of this network her husband was the architect of. The air is fresh and the feeling good in Lehi today!

Erin Clawson will make a great city council person. Congratulations Erin.

Greg

Congrats!! Of all states & In UTAH too.. How cool is that???

Mapleton Resident

Congratulations Mayor Brian Wall, you should be proud! The City of Mapleton should feel great knowing that they elected the best person for the job! We know what an awesome job you have done in the City Council and we are excited to have you represent the city of Mapleton!!
Good Luck and Best Wishes!!

Utahn in DC

Congratulations Mia and all the rest! Best wishes as you embark in your goverment roles. Please make us proud and continue to improve the quality of life in Utah for those who now live there and those who will live there in the future. Best regards!

1 vote difference between Fugal and Jensen in Pleasant Grove election. Amazing. Who says one vote won't really matter?

Larry N. Johnson

Congratulations to Mia Love in winning the Mayor's seat in Saratoga Springs. She will make a great mayor. Let us know how we can help.
Sincerely,
Larry N. Johnson

Bad reporting

Bert Wilson won in Lehi, not Bert Johnson as was reported.

Another PG Resident

One vote in the Pleasant Grove race. And the worst part is that I had planned to vote for Lee Jensen who lost by one vote. However, in the voter's booth I couldn't remember which name was which. Guess I should have double checked before I left. I ended up leaving it blank- and there's your one vote.

What about Provo and Orem?? How does the article miss those two??

Anonymous

Yes!! What happened to the report of Orem's elections?

Who wo in Stockton

Did they boot the mayor that fired the cop for giving a ticket to his son? Can't find the results.

one vote?

One vote? Will there be a recount just to be sure? That must be so heartbreaking to lose by so close. Congrats to anyone willing to throw themselves out there and try to help their cities. Elections can be so brutal! Hopefully even those who didn't get elected will find ways to serve, if that is their desire.

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations to her.

A Better PG

One Vote??? This sounds a bit dirty to me...the odds are virtually impossible. What a shame, Jensen was one of the only one's running a clean race. Interesting (and poor) ethical tactics by some who wanted him out.
