Our players are neater than others.

The article clearly states that Hafoka DID NOT have swine flu. Maybe you should have read the article more clearly before making comments. Especially when your comments demonstrate exactly why lots of people don't like BYU fans and consider us arrogant. And I say that as a BYU season ticket holder!

Nice personal interest story. Glad to have him as a Cougar. Oh, Y fan, the flu is not a religious issue.

Not the swine flu. I do wonder how he will do playing in cold weather. I'd hate to lose him.

"Last January, Hafoka contracted a cold, which turned into the flu (not the H1N1 variety), then pneumonia." Too bad his lifestyle did not have to beat the "swine" H1N1 Flu. Read closer. He never had it.

I agree. If you don't know how to live right find a missionary and they will lead you down the path of Goodness.

Ya good to have him back he has done a lot for BYU football...???
Ernest T. Bass | 10:27 a.m. Nov. 4, 2009
This is awesome news!! Hafoka is probably one of the best players BYU has ever had. There is no chance that BYU will lose another game with Hafoka playing.
TonganUte | 11:01 a.m. Nov. 4, 2009
Nice article. I played with him back home in Hawai'i. He is a very talented athlete. Once he gets into the groove of things he will be a big playmaker!

Elder Hafoka was one of the best missionaries we ever had in Bakersfield. I wish him the best and a full recovery

Best of luck to him from this Ute Fan. Never good to see a kid be sick & lose time doing what he loves...

It feels so good to live here in this incredible state with such a bunch of yahoo posters.

I came on here looking to read something interesting and all I see is a bunch of maniacs with a keyboard. Funny thing about this is I bet you all don't act this way in person.

I guess the anonymous posting forum is Utah's legal drug of choice. Because it makes people say things they probably would never say normally.

Remember, before you get all hot and bothered and try to think of really awesome and mean things to say as a retort, I said MANY of the posters here not ALL.

Alright now, get your keyboards out and have to it. Smack me around in cyber space and show me how cool you are with your smart aleck postings.

Grandma would be proud!

As a Y fan and a football fan, I like these stories about the person and not just football. I liked the article about Shakey. It is good to remember that these young men have lives, families, feelings etc. Sometimes I think it would be daunting to to have hundreds of thousands of people critiquing, criticizing, slandering, mocking, and judgmentally commenting when really we don't know these young men and what they are dealing with daily in their lives.

As a Y fan, I think Ernest TROLL Bass is very funny. I like him but only because he is funny not because he definitely is not insightful, relavent, nor intelligent. Keep his humor coming....

Back to the drawing board. Not funny......

Besides having a hot wife he hasn't done much. I'm excited to watch Utah destroy byu.

BYU wide receiver Spencer Hafoka was seriously ill last winter, but he has come back this year and played well.
