Why do neither the ballots, nor these results, list the party of the candidate?

Parties are not listed because municipal elections are non-partisan.
to puzzled voter | 9:35 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
They are non partisan races.
re: puzzled | 9:36 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Most municipal elections are non-partisan, so they don't go with party affiliations.
BMoore | 9:39 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
In municipal races they are not affiliated with parties!

If you did not have electronic voting, like us in west bountiful; results are being counted the old fashioned way. Don't panic Roosevelt. The polls had only been closed a little less than two hours when you posted.

Where are West Bountiful Mayor results?
Don Ostler | 11:39 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Would it be too hard to have an index to link directly to the county so one can go more directly to the desired results?
E.g.,
Utah State Offices, link to each county.
At each County: That County Offices and school boards, link to each city.
At each City: City offices
Thanks
Don Ostler

Nice to see that the good citizens of Herriman rejected the current Mayor and gave him and two of his council members the boot! Hopefully this brings ethics to city hall in Herriman.

After scanning six pages of copy I finally found the race I was interested in learning about. Don't you think it would be possible to arrange election results in a grid? separate counties? alphabetically? something to facilitate the finding of each city? Today's arrangement, which I think must be by population, is ridiculous.

Sad. | 7:20 a.m. Nov. 4, 2009
It's so sad that so few of the people of Utah can control our destiny and taxes.

But I think this was neglect by the news media of Utah not to keep the public informed of an voting issues. To counter this low key type of election there should be a required minimum number of registered voters before any elections or taxing proposals can pass, not just those who are targeted to vote.

The common thought is that if people don't vote it's their fault. But this leaves every election open to target specific segments of voters with information and how to vote.

It would be interesting to know what segment of Utah voters turn out for elections and issues. Who is targeted for what issues and has the largest turnout? This backroom voter selection panel should be exposed.

You can bet that everyone in education was well informed or misinformed about the education bonds. This is a targeted and captive voter that received biased information that others don't get. Like save your job and vote for the bond. Utah has a very large captive audience in government jobs they can manipulate.

I'm sorry to see that Morgan was not included. I know it's a smaller city, but I noticed other small cities on the list. We want to know who wins our races too.
