This is not Rose Park . . . the media needs to understand their neighborhoods. Rose Park is between 600 N - 1000 North, and between west of I-15 and Redwood Road.

Our community will continue to suffer gun-related violence like this shooting until the legislature recognizes that arming every man, woman, and child is not the answer to the crime problem.

That's Morton Meadows, not Rose Park. If anyone at the Trib lived there rather than by LIBERTY Park, y'all would know the distinction. You also know putting Rose Park in the hed is going to get more hits.
Rose Park and Westside attacked | 4:52 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Again I agree these media people have a hard time differentiating where Rose Park is and where it is not. The critical thing is to quit bashing this area. We have our struggles on the westside, but why not use the generic title westside.
Location? | 5:08 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
So far there's been five comments on this story, four of which debated how to define the location. I feel we need to quit focusing on semantics and focus on the actually issues in the article.

RE: "Location?" 5:08 PM: Can you say, "Second Amendment"?? In the same way you had the right to express yourself....so also do others - without the need for your criticism!

What do you think finding out the facts and deciding to take actions, agaisnst Crimeis all about? Just because the Area in question is bad, don't hide it.If the area is going down, then let people know, why, how and when, and do it for all crime areas! Get it done, get the facts, that fit the Area!
