I guess you could give Yura credit for not trying to mask his selfishness, right? I guess... Right? Hmm.
Well, at least the team would all win with him, if only as a byproduct.
Oh, and as far as "trying something different" is concerned, I know something new they haven't tried yet: A new head coach.

I don't think he meant it like that. Everyone on that team and every team
wants to win for the team and for themselves. Just because he used "I"
in the sentence doesn't mean he is just trying to win the cup for himself.

Kreis seriously still stinks up the place. The team is better without him.
Amazingly he's still around. Wakeup Checketts your club is not meeting
expectations!

Wow. In Kreis' 2 complete years the result was 2 playoff bids. The first
run Kreis' stinky coaching led the team to the Western Conference
Championships.

I truly think Jason has actually done a pretty good job with this squad. He is
seeing the light on proper lineups and showing flexibility, per this
article...
He deserves another year and after that we can have a knowledgable base to go by whether he deserves to continue to stay here or not

wow, you want to tear down as the foundations for a championship team are being
laid and the building blocks are put together?
Kreis is a talented young HC and is still learning. The upside to keeping him and growing together far outweighs junking him for a gamble on someone new who hasn't proven their commitment to RSL.
There is an old truism in soccer - you don't give up what you've got unless it is for something better.
If you want to get rid of Kreis then put a name out there who offers a better track record, a better-matching skill set, more commitment and understanding of the set-up and more value for money.
There is nobody else who comes close to filling all the requirements, so stop undermining the team and show your support. Go RSL!

i am a fan of kreis as coach. he can't make the players play. we've
seen what they're capable of and once they take the field it'd on them
to show up. also - who is out there that would be a better coach? there really
isn't someone else who could come in and do a better job.

The Kreis haters have no grounds to complain. A guy who in his first 2 full
years of coaching ever, has taken a team that had never made the playoffs to the
playoffs both years is someone you definitely want to hang onto. His work ethic
as a player shows as a coach. I'm very glad we have him.

RSL had 11 wins. No team had more than 13 wins. 2 more road wins and and we
are tied for tops in the league. How many of those losses were due to red
cards? We have a +23 goal differential at home. 2 years in the playoffs.
Yes its by the skin of our teeth but still, better to be in then to be out (just
ask Colorado). Why would anyone with a brain want to quit on Jason now. He is
getting better and growing w/ RSL. There is a ton of upside to keeping him
around. Go RSL and Go Jason.

You guys know how hard I am on Sloan. Please take my word on this issue. I am
smart to see the difference. Red Cards, National Calllups, Players in and out
of form, and I have ripped Jason at the beginning of the year.
Jason should be in your minds closer to have nominations for coach of the year (of course got to give to Sigi), then being fired.
He has proven flexible, and is getting better. He is not perfect but has admitted errors and unlike SLoan has tried to do something about them.
He knows the league in and out. He has played for good and bad squads. he has seen it all. He is still I do not think even 40,.
He got this team in the playoffs won New York and Colorado pressure geames and has one win over Columbus.
No matter how the 2nd leg turns out, he totally deserves another year.
Good luck RSL and at least for now, please lets leave him in peace. As bad as the Jazz are this is our hope to get our spirits back up.

How in the world can someone want Kreis fired now? After tomorrow night he will
have gotten us to the Western Conference Finals and Eastern Conference Finals in
back to back seasons. That is not a failure. Kreis is 36, he is a great young up
and coming coach. Kreis played 11 years in MLS, in 305 games, and scored 108
goals. Kreis has a little bit of Pep Guardiola in him. RSL doesn't have the
resources and talent that Barca does but they are pretty similar coaches.
When you are building up a club and trying to create a culture you don't fire your first player ever picked as your coach while he is young, still learning how to coach, and getting better results than you ever have. If New England wins against Chicago and we can win there in New England we could be playing for the MLS CUP!! Who will care what happened during the regular season if we win it all?
I have said this for a while but Javi is the person most responsible for the dissapointments of this year. He is our highest piad player and had the biggest drop off.

Keep Kreis. At the end of the season, you hope to make the playoffs. He's
done it twice. It hasn't always been pretty, but two playoff appearances
in two years - hard to argue with.
There are obviously aspects of this team that need to improve. For example, their play on the road. Will see how that works out tonight.
