RE: even in a rebuilding year 11:17

Did you even watch the ball game?????

Maybe you stuck your Sugar Bowl rerun video in by mistake???

Admit it.......your defense won the ball game and your offense looked loosy.

TCU will make mincemeat out of your "best players in the conference"

TCU 53
Utah 10

GO BOISE STATE!!!!!!!!!

Thats funny, two utes get the honors and all of a sudden the Utes have the best players in the conference. They are not only ones to get the MWC players of the week.

Congrats to them anyways.

They have the best players in the conference because they got this award one week? There are many, many others who have gotten this more than just once.

AMEN!!
Re: Rebuilding Year | 12:36 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Especially when BYU is on a bye week!!!
Please... | 12:37 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Only 22 points against the second worst team in all of Div. I A college football? How sad. No player on Utah's team should have been honored over say TCU's.

This is just the post-Fiesta Bowl talent and depth we're seeing. The effects of the Sugar Bowl on recruiting have barely begun.

The Black out was sick!!! They should wear those jerseys all the time!
re: Moose | 1:41 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
You mean that same TCU squad who finished 2nd in the MWC last year, and handed Boise a loss in the Poinsettia Bowl?

Boise State's BCS ranking will continue to plummet, while TCU's will jump after they likely beat Utah. TCU will represent the MWC again in the BCS, while Boise might get to play Utah or BYU in San Diego.
RE: Moose on the Loose | 2:13 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Defense definitely won the game, However offense came to life in the second half. Only two touchdowns, but four scoring drives overall. Utah is rebuilding this year, and I wouldn't say that they have the best athletes in the conference overall (That honor goes to TCU), but Utah has the best athletes at a couple positions and in a year after losing as much talent as they did, Utah has consistently made appropriate changes and found ways to win! Also, I don't know what loosy means, by the way. Maybe your Boise State education can explain that one to me. And if you think TCU is going to drop 53 on Utah, you've got another thing coming. It will be a much closer game than people think. TCU hasn't faced a defense of this caliber all year (except in practice). Like it or not, you NEED Utah to beat TCU if your pathetic donkey squad wants to go to a BCS game!

Re: Moose on the loose

Go away moose, we don't want you posting your lame comments here.

By the way, I root for BSU as well I just don't feel the need to diss the Utes while I'm doing it.

But I guess it's just easier to be negative. Isn't it.
Re: Moose on the loose | 3:25 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Hey, potato zoob?

If TCU beats Utah, your donkey state is definitely out from BcS chase which you're trying to accomplish the whole year. That'd be awesome(?) to you, but not to me. Now I'm pretty happy with my rebuilding Utes this year, even though it couldn't be better if Utah beats TCU.

Re Moose,
Based on the name I am wondering if Moose is a BSu co-ed. Will BSu fans be running all this smack when you get beat down by the 2nd place MWC team again this year? Until BSu plays some real teams more than once a year, they will be a team going nowhere.
I admit it, our D won the game. Is that bad? You ever hear defense wins championships? I am not saying we will this year, but if we do based on D, we will take it.
Playing TCU will be tough but not because of their fans and their 3/4 empty stands.

Go Utes!!

Re: rvalens2... just to be clear... its easier to be negative when you have a simple mind... i.e. moosknuckle.

Moosie... sign of a physically/mentally strong team = solid defense.
Re: Please.... | 4:18 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
second worst? really? they are not great, but second worst? at 4-4? That BYU education is paying off for you.......
Moose on the Loose | 4:45 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
To all of my Moose fans out there, thank you!

You are all just jealous of my Broncos and we are ranked in the BCS again.

Why are there so many negative comments about me? At lease none of you have mentioned my blue turf.

BYU will BEAT Wyom. although it will be a close game.
Utah will get hammered by TCU and all of their smack will stop.

TCU will win the MWC followed by BYU.
B.S. will win the WAC.

GO BOISE STATE!!!!!
RE: moose | 5:16 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
BSU would lose to any of the top 3 mountain west teams. if the broncos played Oregon next week, you would get your butts handed to you. and you make a statement saying BSU will win the WAC. well duh....your playing a bunch of D-2 and D-3 teams...how hard is it. the Tulsa game went down to the wire as well as the game against UC-Davis,(whatever school that is) your riding a little too high on that bronco of yours
Vegas Ute | 7:33 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Sorry I'm late.

Remember all of the smack last year...Utah 13 UNM 10

Then the next week TCU 10 Utah 0 at half..Black Out
Final TCU 1 Utah 13. Everyone talked about how lucky we were.

The game is all about match ups. We match up better with TCU better than anyone else they'll play this year.

I really liked what I saw in the second half.
Wynn really pushed the offense. 19 points in a half with a freshman first time QB. Daddy Likey.

I liked Schramm on the sideline as well. This team just needs some emotion on offense. Wynn has the personality to do just that. I also like the fact that there won't be much film on him when he goes to TCU.

I think the best team in the country right now is Oregon. But the NC is about who's the best at the end of the season.

Donkey State, don't worry your not it.

Expect a big offensive show with NM this week. Nothing too fancy just effective. Look for the playbook to open for TCU. The defense will create opportunities. Offense...it'll be fun.
Moose is a Zoobie | 11:54 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Any real BSU fan want's Utah to destroy TCU and couldn't care less about bubble football that rates a distant 3rd in overall program strength in the MWC.

Ute Tunnel Vision | 1:31 a.m. Nov. 3, 2009
You Utah fans on this board are ridiculous. Anytime anyone says anything against the Utes, they're a "zoob." Talk about the most overused word in the (limited) Ute vocabulary.

Agreed with Moose, sort of: "Utah will get hammered by TCU and all of their smack will stop. TCU will win the MWC followed by BYU."

Actually, Utah will be hammered by TCU--but the smack will NOT stop. "Zoob"-mocking Ute fans live in their own little Red Bubble. Seriously--you folks don't pick up the slightest clue that you played poorly against Air Force at home? And you've played only well enough to win in most of your games so far? Nobody fears you anymore. Nobody ever did. But get ready for 20 more years anyway of Ute smackers endlessly repeating "Sugar Bowl," even after 6-6 and 7-5 seasons. Maybe even after 3-9.

TCU's the class of the MWC and is the team to beat until someone else catches them. It won't be the Utes. Here's to a 42-7 Horned Frogs cakewalk in Forth Worth Nov. 14. (BYU wins 21-14 Nov. 28, too.)

GO TCU!

Fresno State running back Ryan Mathews, Boise State cornerback Kyle Wilson and Idaho kick returner Justin Veltung were named the Verizon Wireless WAC offensive, defensive and special teams players of the week, respectively
I guess | 9:39 a.m. Nov. 3, 2009
you boys up north forgot that BYU took the week off which left room for little brother to get a little recognition.

Actually folks must have missed the TCU game. They shut out UNLV rather than trailing most of the game and getting a gift touchdown at the end.

How bout that onsides kick, wit? We were looking for that again. Not up by enough this time?
Re: UTe tunnel vision | 12:52 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
Ha they said that we would be repeating "fiesta bowl" too, but look just 4 years later...just saying, oh and we played badly last year before getting a win against the mighty TCU horned frogs. Lucky? yes extremely win but I am pretty sure that a win is a win no matter how small or lucky. But hey lets all be a little bit of a TCU fan this year so that awful, easy scheduled, blue turfed, Boise State doesnt get that honor that they do not deserve.
re: I guess | 2:20 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
You're right. I didn't hear anything about another BYU loss by 30 points at home this week.

Thank goodness for bye weeks.
RE: tunnel vision | 5:31 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
utah fans talk zero smack compared to BYU or Boise State...the only reason there is any smack talk at all is because BYU and BSU fans get on and make dumb comments.
BSU will get a BCS game... | 9:48 p.m. Nov. 3, 2009
because we won't lose like you did and will again and again.....
Re: BSU will get a BCS game... | | 7:51 a.m. Nov. 4, 2009
Keep winning, BSU. MWC teams will continue to leap-frog you to the BCS. BSU has to win out AND every MWC team has to have at least one loss for you to get in. What does that tell you?

Here's one answer...BSU can't do it on their own, they need help.
OH NO!!! | 10:51 a.m. Nov. 5, 2009
When you can't be who you are.. what does that say about what you are? Point for those struggling. If you can't be a BYU fan because of how your team has performed what does that tell you? You have to pose like your a BSU fan or a TCU fan? Why should Utah in a rebuilding year picked to finish 3rd in the Conf. worry about TCU? We really have nothing to lose and evrything to gain. Where's the pressure?? We're not playing with a 3rd year starting senior, no one expected the Utes after losing so many starters to be in contention for anything but 3rd place. So where do you all get off talking smack about how TCU will destroy the Utes. Maybe? BUT... if the Utes in their rebuilding year that has clearly been a struggle beat TCU...Well...I think you should be prepared that your program will be knocked back to the stone age cause the UTES will be coming to LES and if you thought losing to TCU on National TV was an embarrassment...you haven't seen nothing compared to what the "rebuilding" Utes will do!!! GO UTES
