Ground beef recalled over E. coli illnesses

You can usually get better quality ground beef if you buy sirloin when it is on sale and either grind it yourself or ask the butcher at the market to grind it for you. That way you'll know what is in it and the quality of the beef is higher than what is usually used in pre-ground beef.

I know it is more expensive but we simply use half of what the recipe suggests. Americans eat too much red meat anyway so using half the amount is probably better for your health AND your pocketbook.
