A hoax perpetrated by a fraud becomes a controversial religion?

What a concept.

With all of the adversity and challenges which face Scientology, it just reaffirms my testimony that it is the only true religion. Ask yourself this, would Satan be spending so much time and energy trying to destroy Scientology if it wasn't true?

It just goes to show you that Gods children are desparate to find him, even if its with a religion made up by a science fiction novelist.

Quite the interesting comment.

It is apparent you have noticed that most religions, and religious leaders, which have gone through tough times have used that exact logic.

It's obvious that tribulation in itself is not an obvious or clear sign of a true religion. Many in my own faith would do well to recognize that.

It's also obvious that such tribulations are not indicative of a false religion, either.

In short, no conclusion, either way, on the veracity of a religion may be drawn from an assessment of tribulations alone.

Solomon Spalding wrote a fictional story about Ancient civilizations in America. Never mind.

Think for yourselves. Follow that inner voice of doubt and see where it leads.
