Its too bad that Richfield and Morgan were in the same bracket. Those two really are the best teams in the state. North Sanpete did show up to play as I have NEVER seen them play that well before. GOOD JOB LADY HAWKS!

North Sanpete showed up to state to play like they had never done before. I think even if they would have played Richfield they would have won. They did beat Morgan, to which Richfield lost! Just say congrats and move on! They played AMAZING!!

Coach of the year? Ha put that in your pipe and smoke it. Never count out cinderella! The better team did win and you Morgan fans need to just get over it and stop making excuses. You lost just deal you played amazing but the Hawks came out with a big jab right to your mouth and never looked back. Mabey next time you should get off your high horse and recognize the unbelieveable talent on the other team. Im just saying nobody is unbeatable and they proved it by shoving it right in your face. Props to the HAWKS!!!

richfield and morgan are very good teams. That is just the way the tournement is. Dont blame the Uhsaa they didnt know which two teams would be the best. North sanpete played with the most heart i have ever seen a team play. They were little compared to most teams at the tournement but they played huge. I am not from north sanpete but I think that they deserved the title. They had eight seniors and you could feel their love for the game. CONGRATS TO NS!!!! WAY TO PULL UP A HUGE UPSET!

congratulations North Sanpete! I don't mean to take anything away from your win BUT, as a player from Richfield and playing in the earlier game with Morgan going 5 tough matches with all the emotions. I was drained and as an earlier comment said I really think you would have beat us if we had beat Morgan. Not because you are a better team, we have proven that every time we meet and kick your butts! but because we felt we had already played the state championship game and were exhausted. I don't know how Morgan even got up the energy to play that game. Morgan is the better team we should know. None the less that is what the tournament is all about. It takes talent and a little luck! congratulations you are the state champs and no one can take that away from you. Next year though Morgan and Richfield won't be in the same bracket and their game will be the championship!

And you dont think that the games that north sanpete played had emotion in them. Stop making excuses. they had about six hours to rest before they played North Sanpete. And north sanpete had to play a five game match the day before. Both teams played the same amount of games before meeting each other. So dont pull out the whole morgan was tired and thats how they lost thing. That is bull.

Richfeild.. you seriously need ot get over yourselves! yeah you might have won north sanpete two times before but that doesnt mean anything. they came to the state tournament a whole new team incase you didnt notice! that is bull crap that your saying they were tired and that's the only way they won. did you even go to the game? north sanpete played awesome volleyball and with a lot of heart and emotion! so dont go saying that they wouldnt have got it. I'm sure it was a welcome extra hour of sleep for the exhausted teams from Richfield and Morgan.

I know the extra hour was welcome for North Sanpete players & fans because celebrating winning a State Championship is very exhausting!

I would have to admit that you're right when saying it not only takes talent but a little luck as well. Remember back to last year when you guys got extremely lucky with the injury on South Sevier's team or you would not have that championship either! It doesn't matter what happens earlier in the year...the state games are when it counts. Congrats Hawks! You played with a lot of heart when it counted and now YOU ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Congrats to North Sanpete!!! You played with amazing heart and energy and deserved it! All that matters is that you show up to play when it counts and thats what the Hawks did, they had a dream and they realized it regardless of what the regular season may have been! It was a great title match with 2 great teams! And to coach Wiscombe, she deserves every ounce of recognition she has received she truly is an incredible coach! And a big shout out to North Sanpete, Richfield & Delta all of whom represented region 12 amazingly finishing 3 out of the top 4 in state!!! Again way to go Lady Hawks you were truly inspiring to watch!

Richfield has always whined no matter what! Sure they were in the same bracket as Morgan but that is the way the cookie crumbles! The underdog won the tournament and hats of to them for thier awesome performance. STOP CRYING RICHFIELD! The only thing you will compete in in the 3A ranks will be volleyball so dont tarnish your respectable season by crying!

What a rude and insulting comment. Read the post that has a Morgan fan complaining? Nobody from Morgan is complaining. The program is one of the best in the state because they have a coach who is total class and would not allow her girls to whine and complain. They got beat by a hot team. Plain and simple. Keep your ugly comments about "pipe smoking" to yourself. Pathetic.

wow it's amazing how Richfield killed the Hawks 3 games to 0 everytime. Also how they lost to Delta! I really wish Richfield was the ones playing them at state, then there would have been a different out come. That's ok though great job, just don't plan on it next year!

you don't know what your talking about. they didn't beat NS 3 to 0. And they came together at state, and even killed Delta in three. Just goes to show they were a whole different team at state, and they deserved what they got. Richfield lost to Morgan, NS beat Morgan..END OF STORY!

Seriously richfield needs to stop whining. It is not North Sanpetes fault that you couldnt get past them in the semi finals. And we didnt make the brackets so get over it. If you wanted it badly enough you would have beaten them when you had the chance. North Sanpete deserved what they got. Regular season is not what determines who takes state. It is who shows up to play and north sanpete did just that. I have no doubt you will do well next year but leave us alone and stop whinning!

They were a completely different team at the state tournament than in the regular season. If you would have played them i garantee it wouldve been a loss for you. Congratulations to both teams. You were both great and played the game with heart. Unfortunately only one team wins and one team has to lose. You were the best team that night. The best lesson learned is sportsmanship in both winning and losing. I was impressed with the young men who came up to my daughter and told her not to hang her head and that she played well. That is good sportsmanship in winning. Both teams displayed good sportsmanship and that is credit to their coaches. Coach Wiscombe is a classy person and has taught that to our girls too. We will be back next year with many lessons learned.

Nice job lady hawks. I graduated from North Sanpete and they've always had a really good volleyball program. The great thing about it, is that they beat Morgan. Morgan seems to cry about everything. Just admit it Morgan, you got beat by the better team and take you second place trophy and be happy about it. Second place isn't that bad.

I was at the game and i have seen both teams play several times and I am so confused where all the hostility towards the Morgan team is coming from! I have NEVER seen Morgan be anything but a class act. Liz is one of a kind, one in a million. CONGRATS Coach Wiscombe you so deserved that award!!! :) I was impressed with NSP's play throughout the tournament. For you richfield fans, I actually was suprised you even made it a game with Morgan. I had my money on 3 and out Morgan wins. Good thing your other OH finally showed up or it would have been. NSP had the blocking and UNBELIEVABLE power that led them to this championship. Power and their scrappy play. I loved every second of watching BOTH of these teams play! Some teams have 1 or 2 go to players but both these teams were loaded. I told my team this game would be much closer than ppl expected. Congrats to NSP and MORGAN!!! And to all the teams that represented 3A this weekend!!! :) WTG!!!

The tournament is over...the winners are the winners and the losers are the losers. Morgan played amazing..NS just played better. Way to go! These comments are a whole lot of talk, that's fine. Sit here and bash each other..it still won't change the outcome of the tournament. You prove with play, not with talk. Each and every team is going to come back next year with a new perspective on the tournament. HAVE SOME RESPECT for the teams. Regardless of how they do. NS congrats on the win. you beat the defending state champs and then beat Morgan. You played awesome! Richfield, ya the game against Morgan was hard...no more talk, just prove it to the state next year.

No matter what there was six hours to rest after the game where you guys played morgan. So NO MATTER HOW EXHAUSTED ANYONE WAS they should've took advantage of that! quit making up excuses.

this is my own opinion, there is no volleyball team or maybe any sports team in the state that worked harder to get were they are then North Sanpete. especially before the state tournament. They didn't win because of luck but because they practiced and played like state champions!

Congrats NS! I agree with v ball fan I don't think there is a team that could have beat NS this weekend they played incredible! I have a girl that plays in 5a and I think you could have beat us good!!! As I watched the championship round I thought to myself wow that is a team with alot of heart! I was really impressed with the whole team but would really like to give credit to who ever your #6 is, what a fun athlete to watch, and for someone so little its great to see her be that good! Again congrats HAWKS you truly deserved it, it's yours and you will remember it forever!
