I'll be sad to see Yura leave. :(

If Randers FC (the Danish league team Yura signed with) gets relegated (which looks very likely at this point in the season), Yura can get out of his contract with them. This was confirmed on the radio post-game. I wouldn't think he would still want to play for them if they aren't in the top league in Denmark. Let's hope Randers doesn't turn things around.

I feel this kid at times is an inconsistent enigma. he has good talent. Congrats on the last home game and thanks for you setting up your goal, keeping a positive attitude despite not getting a lot of time and your overall contributions. Good luck in Denmark get your one year experience there, then you realize it is a weak professional league as Brondby, Copenhagen seem the only teams with a name and I hope to see you back here in 18 months or so.

I think Findley's future with this club is very uncertain now. We all know how the club rewarded Yura after his run of goals late last season, including the 90th minute winner that put us into the playoffs for the first time ever. He was told to keep on living large off the $50k he was making and stop believing he was the next Ian Joy ($126k) or Clint Mathis ($115k).

Every time Findley ($72k) scores a big goal in the playoffs on top of his two goals against Colorado to put us in the playoffs, his stock almost certainly goes down with RSL management.

sad that MLS can't attract and keep the better talent. hopefully, soccer will one day be as big as basketball or baseball or football and we will be able to attract enough fans to allow for higher player salaries.

I will still wear #14 in the hope of his return.

For a playoff game it seems there were a lot fans disguised as empty seats.

Go futboooooooooolllllll.

Yura showed last night that he is learning to pass the ball. One of the biggest concerns in the past was that he had blinders in front of the net and would not give up the ball to a player in a better position to score. Last night in addition to his assist he also made 2 beautiful back heel passes that came close to goals.
Here's to Randers getting relegated and Yura having a chance to come back to RSL for at least 1 more year.
Totally agree with J Crunch, Management will probably do the same thing with Findley's future that they did with Movsisian.

I am a fan who will remember him "for the rest of my life". . . . .or at least until Thanksgiving. Ha!

You are such a meany, but you're right. It's true, nobody cares about soccer. As far as soccer dying in America, the writing is on the wall. I give it 2 years max.
re: Howard | 8:40 p.m. Nov. 1, 2009
Funny how all you guys who don't care about soccer spend so much time here commenting on it.

-- People have been giving soccer "only 2 more years" for over a decade now.

I wouldn't be surprised if the league collapsed at the end of this year - look at USL as a sign of things to come...

Yeah, with two new stadiums opening up in 2010 nobody has any confidence to invest in US soccer, obviously. And definitely not in a World Cup year!

Right... investors (especially investors in sports franchises) never invest in sinking endeavors.

In two years Rio Tinto will be the finest high school soccer/swap meet venue in the nation.

9:23a.m. Your right about one thing, although 5 years ago people said RSL wouldn't make it one year here, hmmm where the has the time gone, you should go back to your mothers, and play on the computer.

After saving our rear ends two years in a row I hope they take care of these guys. Yura takes things to a new level of creativity when he is playing team ball. Findley can pull off some amazing stuff at times also.
Even though we hate the trolls and I definitely don't think soccer is going away, I was disappointed in the attendance. I guess those guys that complain about all the freebee tickets have something. That crowd was 3,000 smaller than last years first round against Chivas USA. Just disappointing when you see what is going on in Seattle.
Still behind you guys though, go RSL!

Hope Randers goes down and Yura comes back. With more experience he'll become more consistant. Take it to the yellow boys on Thursday RSL!

GO RSL!

If Randers does get relegated (its still early in the season, remember) then Yura will likely try and find another gig in Europe, and I cant blame him
RSL will be his ultimate fall back, but I wouldnt hold my breath on him coming back here.

As for this stupid "soccer wont last in the states" argument that comes up every other article it seems... people, get a life. Soccer is going to be just fine. Its steadily growing and will continue to. Will it jump any of the "big 3" sports any time soon? No, but it doesnt need to to be profitable. Its setup in a way to survive with the short growth. MLS, RSL, and soccer in general is here to stay. Live with it

If Randers goes down, RSL has the first choice to his services and from Jason's comments Saturday night I think RSL will be ready to put much more money on the table to secure his services.
I for one would like nothing better than to see Yura back in Salt Lake.
