Do these guys seriously consider themselves to be "scholars"???
What nonsense! That is NOT a redundant phrase! The word translated "virgin" (almah, which became parthenos in the Septuagint) means a young woman of marriageable age, but not one who has never had sex. For that the writers would have used "bethulah." Any "scholar" worth his salt would know that. This Wilson guy has no business speaking to an audience in a higher education context.
