Election 2009: Vacant mall property highlights Holladay campaigns

Mayor Webb is right; this election is about leadership. In order to get things accomplished, a Mayor has to be able to work civilly with the City Council, the County Council, the UPD, the UFA, the Planning and Zoning Department, commercial developers, land owners, investors, small business owners, City constituents, and all other City stakeholders. Mayor Webb has the leadership skills to do this as evidenced by all of his accomplishments. But how can Topham expect to get anything accomplished as Mayor when he can't work well with anyone? He offends just about everyone he meets. I mean, what's he got against renters, immigrants, the Irish and Italians anyway?
Furthermore, there are a lot of campaign promises coming from these candidates. Fotheringham says he has contacts in the East. What he isn't saying is that he has to convince a Federal Bankruptcy Judge that he knows better in the largest retail bankruptcy ever. I don't think so.
I liked one of the comments above: The village center truly is world class.

Given their recent settlement with Camco at Fashion Place (reported in the DNews last week) I hope that they will proceed with the project as planned.
If you have seen the plans, it is truly world class.
Fotheringham and Topham are Nancy Reaganites, all they can do is "Just say no!"
