Utah Jazz: Millsap proves worth with big effort

will continue to develop. However, he may never fix his one big problem. Tall athletic opponents will just shoot over him (ditto for Boozer). That is a major problem for him at PF/C.

I do not know if he is quick enough but with time and development he could become a poor persons James at SF. Since he jumps well he should be able to improve the quickness of his first step. His scoring moves will improve with work and development.

He is great in small line ups but gets killed by tall ones (like Gasol and Odom).

Just because the Jazz threw all that $ at Milsap, doesn't prove anything, except they threw a lot of money at him.
He has 80 games left to prove it and 3 more years to prove it. Good Grief.

The clippers are very tall and Millsap and Boozer were no shows on defense. Millsap is a good 6th man. He shows up and plays hard. But he is another reason our defense is non-existent. Well that and the fact that Dwill plays zero defense.

A sports journalist and an average fan can see the tree but not the forest. Millsap does well when the team plays well, and he adds to that chemistry rather than detracts from it. Millsap cannot do well in the points department when his teammates start playing one-on-one ball because he is not one to create his own shot. Thus, he is a reflection of how the team overall is doing. He is NOT a weak link but a very important chief link. When his team mates help each other on defense and when they execute on offense, passing the ball quickly, setting up picks and rolls and creating easy shots, Millsap will score regularly. And the Jazz will win. Remember when Paul got all those double doubles last year? It was because the Jazz was playing like a team. A few games after Boozer came back, all that team chemistry went out the window. And the Jazz started losing. It wasn't just Boozer who started to play individually on offense, but when you take bad shots, especially when they're not in the offense and nobody is in rebounding position, you cannot play good defense.
