Utah Man

Great governor? I'm sorry, I'm not anti-Herbert, but what has he done in the past couple months since taking the reigns from Huntsman that make him great? I think the jury is still out.

Anonymous

Good grief, here it the guy that says that he will not raise taxes and will instead cut and gut state programs so severely that your child will double their class size and Utahns will be left to be out on the street. Child abuse victims and suicidal mental health patients will simply suffer and die under more of Herbert's cuts, and all he cares about is the big business. Of course they donated to him, it is all about buying his influence so he makes sure the poor and vulnerable suffer rather than his "friends".

obviously

This man will be a great governor.

He has already got the money flowing in and hasn't done a thing... well, that you and I can know about.
All done with a wink wink and a handshake.

Utah gets it again. when will it ever stop?

this is great for public schools

Just think how many public school teachers the Governor can hire with the million dollars he raised last night! He can pay salaries for 25 new teachers!

Given you firm committment to public education, Gary, we know you'll put that money to good use!

No Ethics Reform!

No wonder Herbert doen't want us voting for ethics and fundraising reform. This article explains it all. ONLY VOTERS CAN SET ETHICS STANDARDS FOR POLITICIANS. They will NEVER police themselves.

ZEKE

To bad this money isn`t raised for a good cause. Instead of political. What a waste of money for someone who hasn`t proven a thing. I hope he gets beat.

Corroon for Guv

If I didn't know this article was completely factual, I would've thought it was planted by Corroon's people.

"Governor accepts a million bucks from big business because he refused to cap donations like Huntsman did, still opposes citizen's ethics reform." I guess he thinks that is what the delagates like...

If anyone has ever worked with folks from Salt Lake County, they can't accept a free can of soda, let alone Jazz tickets, trips, expensive meals- even WITH disclosure. The Leg could learn a lot from the County's very strict ethics policy.
