What a wonderful gesture by this family!Wish more people would react the same way.To be there and greet all their supporters when they have gone thru so much.
Thank you to the Miller family and I know Larry is watching with great pleasure.
My thanks to the Millers | 11:45 p.m. Oct. 30, 2009
Greg and Gail Miller are class acts. Their actions honor Larry, a man who gave and gave and gave to this community. We'd all do well to give in our own way as well. Thank you Miller family.

I, too, was very surprised to walk in the doors and have Mrs. Miller look at me straight in the eyes, offer her hand and tell me "thank you so much for being here." I was too shocked to even say anything. It was definitely a neat experience to meet her. She reminds me of any normal young grandmother who is just happy to see people. Very warm and gentle. I wish I could have told her how much we appreciate her and her husband. I won't forget that moment.

The Jazz may never win an NBA title, but they do have the best owners and FANS in the NBA. The state of Utah should be very proud of how they support the Jazz. I live near Memphis, they would do anything to have what you all have in Utah. No one would love more to see the Jazz win it all than me and maybe someday it will happen. If not, be thankful you have a great tradition and wonderful owners. Few teams in the NBA can say that. Least of all Memphis.
Go Jazz and thanks to the Miller family, they are the greatest owners in the league.

What a wonderful tribute to a great man and his family. We who live here have been the recipients of their generosity and examples for years. My father-in-law loved the team, and two of my favorite memories with him were when we went together to two games. One in the rafters, and one on the third row. A dear neighbor gave him the fabulous tickets and I have never seen him enjoy anything so much. May we all appreciate what having a NBA team with such owners means to our community. Thank you Miller family!

I just wanted Gail and Greg to know that while I am not a big sports fan I am a tremendous fan of both Larry and Gail Miller and now their son Greg for carrying on the Miller tradition of graciousness and generousity and for remaining accessible to their public, in the midst of all of their families great success. It teaches the rest of us volumes as to how we should each treat others we come in contact with. Thank you Miller Family!

Even though I don't live in Utah anymore, sadly, I try to keep up on the good the Miller family is doing. Tremendous examples of Jesus Christ, humble, happy, loving and caring people.

Cheers to the Miller family - the best franchise owner's in the whole NBA!

In many ways Larry used to drive me nuts with his sometimes over-the-top behavior, but the first thing I did when I went into the building last night was to look at the seat he used to occupy and wish he were still there.

This all Sounds more like worship of the rich.

Should one be honored just because they are rich enough to buy and own an nba franchise?

really, when is this continuing sycophant behavior by the media and the fans going to stop?
Best owners but not best fans | 5:10 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
I beg to differ. I agree the Jazz may have some of the best owners in the NBA but definitely NOT the best fans.

When the Jazz fans treat their opposing team fans with the same respect that they expect....then we can talk!

To Anonymous,

No, being rich is not a good enough reason to be honored nor is it a reason not to be, but being good to your wife and children over the years, working tirelessly for decades to create thriving businesses out of almost nothing, providing thousands of jobs to your fellow citizens, donating millions of dollars and countless hours to worthy charities, being a down-to-earth and happy ambassador for the state of Utah ARE things worth honoring. Most NBA owners would have abandoned Utah in the early years. Most would have spent their lives playing golf and sailing in the Carribean, but not Larry Miller. He never asked for our thanks either. I don't see anyone worshiping him, but there are thousands of people who admire him, and rightfully so.

What have you done to bless the lives of others, Anonymous? Is that why you prefer to remain anonymous while disparaging those who openly express their gratitude for a life well lived? If there is anything this world needs right now, it's to be more grateful for the good people in it and to stop listening to petty little people like you. Cheer up!

WELL SAID!

Nobody here is honoring this fantastic family simply because they are rich. The Miller family is special because they don't flaunt it. Yes, many may say the "own" almost all of Salt Lake. But it was what they do with their money that I admire. They are very charitable. They take care of the families of employees with college money as well as matching a Christmas savings program. I have personal seen their down to earth approach to everyday life. Thanks for all you do.

There is always one (or ten) spoiled sports! (Anonymous yes I mean you). Your green color shows even in your post!

Love the Millers and love the Jazz!

Whether or not you're a Jazz fan, we're incredibly lucky to have the Millers in our community. Thank you, Millers.
