Dustin, this team has come full circle since you have taken over, I want to thank you for bringing the discipline that is reminiscant of the Mike Frazier days. I hope you are the mighty wolverines coach for years to come.

full circle? haha you might wanna think about that
Re: post at 11:26 | 11:33 p.m. Oct. 30, 2009
Hater! Dustin does a great job with these boys and the fact that they have so many less personal fouls than they have in past years is proof of what discipline can do, and the winning can be attributed to so many things, the athletes, the discipline, the hard work, but also, the Love and Committment that Dustin tends to give to these boys. And in return, the love that they give back. The lessons they learn are some that can be taken with them throughout life, not just on the field. I am so impressed by the young man not taking credit for his own Glory, but Giving the credit to his teammates... Thats Teamwork!!! Great Job Hunter!!! Great Job!!!

GET READY FOR LONE PEAK THIS ONE IS GOING TO A GOOD!!!
Good win.. but | 1:46 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Lone Peak- 35
Hunter 7
Re:Re: Hunter alum | 1:56 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
If you actually know what you are talking about then prove it, Hunter was a very disciplined team when I played, just not as talented. The 2003 team could have competed w/ div III college teams and I would give them an edge on most national powerhouses. They, however, lacked discipline even then, and it was a coaching problem. Hunter talent + discipline = continued success from this point on. Please remember that a kid w/out proper structure will always stumple, those days are over!!
Beware | 2:06 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Lone Peak is legit!
Anonymous | 4:18 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Of course lp is legit. The best team hunter has played all year
Hunter | 7:38 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Good Game Hunter and Congrats.
But if you are going any farther you need to be more disciplined and listen to Coach Pearce more. Many mistakes in the game that could have been avoided.
Hunter Fan | 8:18 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
I thought our size would kill Weber, but Weber was a very good team. Game could have been a bit different if it wasnt for the turnovers. Hats off to Webers D, especially that number 44 linebacker who must have had 20 tackles. Lonepeak your next!
on our way to your house | 8:39 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Great win Hunter...be ready for LP's defense to stop many of your 52 running plays! I wouldn't pass though either....6 INT's against WJ. Go KNIGHTS
Beware | 8:56 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
HUNTER IS LEGIT!!
Prediction | 9:11 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Hunter is a great team, but they are nothing Lone Peak hasn't faced yet this season. Lone Peak is too fast and quick for Hunter. Lone Peak wins 31-10
Coaching | 9:33 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Hunter has the best football coach in the state on its staff -- and I'm not talking about Coach Pearce. He is in the booth. The secret weapon.

Congrats Wolverines, keep pounding it out. The pretty boys at Lone Peak won't know what hit them.
HEY LONE PEAK !!!! | 10:07 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
You guys are definitely the best team that hunter has played all year, but hunter is the most physical team you guys have played! if you havent seen hunter play let me just give you an idea . . . . the last two games there have been 10 guys in the box trying to stop the run, and it hasnt worked very well! if lunceford makes 2 big throws, hunter wins the game. RE: Hunter Fan, 44 didnt make that many takles, and most of his takles were 7 yards down the field! the real linebacker was bataglia from skyline, who KILLED hunter!
Re:Re:Re: Hunter alum | 10:37 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Anytime something goes full circle it means that they are right back where they started. You probably wanted to say they have done a 180. Stay in school it might help. Hunter is done anyway. Way to close of a game with a 4th place Weber. Good bye.
Anonymous | 10:56 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
full circle; right back where they started, as in when the school started. This arguement is getting pretty ridiculous, if you knew any of Hunter's history you would know what I'm talking about. It seams to me that you are just a hater and probably had some Hunter kid show-up on your door step trying to date your daughter.
HunterAlumni1315 | 2:03 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
The Last time I remember Hunter played Lone Peak they beat them 21-0 in 2003 and in 2004 Hunter Beat them 27-6 so I think Hunter has a good chance and Hunter wins in a defensive battle 17-14
walk the walk  | 2:36 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Hunter showed up and played hard thats how they won. Lone Peak has a spread offense. I can see coach peirce making some changes to accomodate and defile their offense. This will prove to be Hunters touest challenge yet. Come on Hunter boys dont talk the talk just walk the walk make it happen your region 2 champs keep playin like it. ACCOUNTABILITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not Worried | 3:35 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
The Last team that came in with a spread offense got Man-Handled by Hunter. Cottonwood high powered offense couldn't make it work. I like Hunter chances in this one. If I had to choose a team to play from region 4 thats left I would choose lone peak.
Re: HEY LONE PEAK!!!! | 10:45 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Umm...you are not the most physical team we've faced. We played brighton and beat them pretty good. and i think they beat you guys 31-0. So you can't say we haven't faced a physical team. Bottom line, you guys can't handle speed and athleticism. You guys will be huffin and puffin by the halftime. Knights win 28-10 and move on to the semis
Hint to Hunter | 11:18 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
GUARD THE FADE ROUTE, THAT IS THE ONLY PLAY THE HAVE THAT HAS ANY SUCCESS! STOP THAT AND YOU WILL ROLL THEM.
Re: Hint to Hunter | 12:18 a.m. Nov. 1, 2009
Lone Peak also have a mobile quarterback, swing passes, slants, outs, posts, draws, counters, dives, reverses, sweeps and a screen package. Stop all of those and I think Hunter will roll! Good Luck!
Hunter Team | 11:48 a.m. Nov. 1, 2009
From a Bingham fan, good job so far and good luck...Keep rolling
brighton player | 12:03 p.m. Nov. 1, 2009
the only thing hunter has over lone peak is size but even lone peak has decent size. lone peak will outrun be more disciplined and outscore hunter 28-7
Anonymous | 6:32 p.m. Nov. 1, 2009
First of all hunter is as fast as anyone in the state so quit all the talk of teams will out run us. Second of all hunter is as diciplined as any in the state so quit all the talk of hunter isn't diciplined. Third of all the last half of the season hunter has put over 40 pts on everybody except 36(on skyline) and 24(on weber) so quit the talk of outscoring us. Oh and to mr. Obvious of course if lp beats the wolverines they will have outscored us. It's sad when stereotypes are thrown around about west side kids being slow, undiciplined. What if we threw out things like hunter will outwork lp( because the sliverspooners have never had to work hard for anything it's always been bought for them). Probably not very classy or true is it. Oh and by the way the last team that tried to say that about us got ran over(right cwood parent). The following week those same undiciplined hunter kids beat skyline at home in senior night( check the records teams don't beat skyline at home late in the season. That's dicipline
Anonymous | 9:58 a.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Lone peak hasn't beat anyone this year who can run the ball like hunter does. There isn't any question about lp being a really good team. This game isn't on turf and it's in west valley. The nights will have to be at their best to win. The only common opponent they have is Brighton and hunter is by far a better team than when they lost to Brighton in week 3. Hunter by 3. Only because there at home, the manage the clock better than anyone in the state, and their run game will not allow lp very good offense to be on the field. This one will come down to lp's defense vs hunter's offense
Anonymous | 1:26 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
hey brighton player your not in the play offs dummy!!haha
anonymous | 2:42 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
I think the speed of just the skill players is pretty even for both teams. but as a whole I think lone peaks Defense is faster then the hunter offense Lone peak has always had a fast defense. but one of the ways to stop speed is to run right at it. It all comes down to execution and who wants it more. Both teams I know are hungry and both teams play with heart. Overall I would be happy if either team won. I just hope someone takes down Alta and Timpview. It's time for that trophy to occupy someone elses case.
Hunter Fan | 2:57 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Hunter v Lone Peak should be a great game. Hunter has got to play that same tough D they did against Cottonwood. We will probably see Hunter go from their base 4-3 defenses into something like a 3-3-5 for streches of this game. Hunter has got to pressure LP's QB and cover the fade route. If Hunter doesn't give up big plays on defense and doesn't turn the ball over on offense they should be in position to win this game.
Anonymous | 8:47 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009
Lp's defense shouldn't mistake hunters offense for wj. First of all lp's 6 ints vs west Jordan equates to 3 more catches than hunter had all game. I could be stretching it. But my point is lp has yet to beat a team as physical as hunter. On the flip hunter has played some good teams this year but lp is by far the best they have played. Lp will slow down on the grass( most of the teams they play have field turff). Hunter should be ready for a dog fight. If hunter scores first the game will be boring and hunter wins. If lp scores first it will be a shootout and I like lp.

Just want to say Good Luck to Coach Pierce, and the rest of his staff, and to all the hard working Wolverines, REMEMBER I'TS A REALITY OF LIFE THAT MEN ARE COMPETITIVE AND THE MOST COMPETITIVE GAMES DRAW THE MOST COMPETITIVE MEN. GOOD LUCK TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FROM THE # 1 FAN.
ps Don't pay attention to all the trash talk, because no one wants to see the Wolverines on top, except the #1 FAN. GOD BLESS THE WEST SIDE HUNTER PRIDE!!!!!
