Maybe an onsides kick for good measure!

These blackout games are odd. I thought the Utes wore red and white? Not proud of your school colors?
Blackout for Wyoming? | 9:17 a.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Really? That's the game you chose for your blackout? Good luck with that...I hope U lose.

The black Under Armor uniforms are awesome. The fans and MUSS are going to be totally stoked up...LES will be rockn'

To the BYU fans who posted above...your uniforms are dull and unimaginative. BYU went through an identity crisis in the Crowton years when they switched to dark blue and tan. Now, they have managed to steal Utah State's shade of blue which appears black under stadium lighting. BYU has issues. Don't confuse those identity issues with the Utes.

Utah's black uni's ROCK and the game tonight is going to be a blast. It's great that Coach Whittingham gives that much latitude to player decisions. The team will have fun tonight.

I think we should have done a Pink Out in support of breast cancer research a couple of weeks ago. Seeing Koa Misi and Derrick Shelby streaking to the QB like a couple of Pink Tornadoes while the Pink Shirted MUSS screamed in pink unison would have been awesome. And it would have been FOR something instead of just to make the stadium dark and look real cool.

Then again, maybe we should just wear the school colors.

"The black Under Armor uniforms are awesome". AMEN!!! I hope to see this continue for a long time.
TV Blackout | 12:50 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Remember last time when some of those utes fans thought the game was a blackout on tv - hahahahaha. that was funny and hope some will think again. So why blackout again which I can see their red blood cell turned black when the game is over with WYO WIN! Say anything you want about BYU color! Rivalry is getting close and might as well bring on the heat. Oh, I don't think utes will do well against TCU!

What a sense of humor, you have. I suppose it comes naturally to someone who starts out thinking their college team is going to the national championship game and is not ranked after just 7 games.

Since you don't have anything else to do tonight, why do you go to the Utah game and experience how football fans should treat their team. I guarantee, the exists won't be jammed at the end of the third quarter. Maybe you will learn why Utah football is fun.
Ute football fun? | 2:54 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Why is dressing up like Halloween fun for a football game. Why not get a little more in the spirit and wear masks too. The Utes are about ripe for an upset. It could come today. Then we will realize that the attempt at the Halloween thing was really just "sack cloth and ashes."

As noted above, RES is going to be total controlled chaos tonight. Black unis with red and white trim...I loved it last year and hope they continue the tradition. Get after it, UTES!!!

You, "Ute football fun? | 2:54 p.m." should stay home and greet your trick or treaters. You just might have some of the BYU football team come by since they have nothing else to do. Some might even masquerade as football players. After all, they have been wearing the OVERRATED mask all season long...at least until last week.

"Remember last time when some of those utes fans thought the game was a blackout on tv - hahahahaha. that was funny and hope some will think again."

Ah, no...actually I don't remember nor do I know what you are talking about. Go ahead and have a good laugh, though; it's good therapy for your pain from last week.

Oh, and good luck on your prediction on tonight's game. TCU is a week away...the Utes take them one game at a time.

I get so excited for Ute football. I have a big screen and usually invite some friends over. We play a little pre-game touch football to get in the spirit. During the game it gets more intense. Some of my buddies get down in a three point stance to somehow help the Ute linemen block their men. I usually sit behind them with my football and bark out plays. I am pretty good at being able to tell what the defense is going to do when the Utes are on offense. I like it when my friends call me Coach. My name is Kyle too. The experience may be somewhat vicarious, but isn't Ute football great?
Come on now, some of the rest of you tell of your game antics.

I played college football back in the day. I am afraid the Ute's this year are somewhat pretenders like BYU. Wyoming is on the rise, those are the most dangerous teams, in my opinion. Still, I have a shirt somewhat like the Utah uniforms that I will wear while watching the game on TV. At half time I like to pretend that I am giving the team a chalk talk to get them going for the second half. After a win, my wife and I always wear red and go celebrate. If we lose, I'll just be ... off.

We have an interesting tradition at our house. Of course we are died in the wool Ute fans. We have a little pre-game ritual. We sing, "I am a Utah Man" just before the game. During the game we only eat things with red on them or come in red packages for treats. Just our own little way of supporting our teaam.

I am proud that my Utes can get up for big games. I am glad that we have a coach who shows his fire. I could not stand to be bland like the BYU Cougars. They have different priorities on game days. They do whats important to them and lose the big ones. The Utes do what is important to them and win the big ones. Which program would you rather be associated with? Duh!
what would be cool | 4:02 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
I agree with the 3rd guy they should definitely through in an onside kick when they're up big
Re: Ute football fun? | 2:54 p.m | 4:17 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
The last six posts spaced about 10 minutes apart are yours, aren't they. Very bizarre...you need therapy.

I'm sure Bronco is proud to have your support.

I gave up going on a great fishing trip today so I could watch my beloved Utes. I hope we go out and totally dominate Wyoming. I see nothing wrong with an onsides kick when we are ahead or going for it on fourth downs. Would you rather win like Utah does, convincingly, or like BYU does when they can pull one out? I like Utah so much better. I would much rather tail gate with brats and something to drink than like the Cougars with their cocoa and smores.
TB | 4:45 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
I heard the TDS squad members were planning on dressing up tonight like football players. It's the only day of the year when anyone with a winning record in the MWC conference actually believes they can play football. Go Utes.
Re: Anonymous 5:23 p.m. | 8:03 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
Get a life. No one cares about your kewgies. And quite speaking for true Ute fans. You are obviously the one who is obsessed with the Utes.
awful yewts | 8:37 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
barely beating Wyoming at the end of the 4th? Barely beat Air Force needing overtime?

Utes are going to get rocked by TCU and beat by BYU

My lobos are going to beat you as well
Lobos?! | 10:13 p.m. Oct. 31, 2009
0-7? Don't make us laugh. Lot of credibility there.
I was at the game, and while it wasn't nearly as intense as the Blackout game against TCU last year, the entire crowd was on their feet for most of the 4th quarter. The defense really came through for us in the second half, and Wynn looked pretty good.

Oh, and for anyone watching at home who might have missed it, you know how during the break after the third quarter "Bubbles aka The Crazy Lady" comes out and dances in front of the band? Well about 10 people ran out with her all dressed like her with wigs on and danced. It was awesome.

Go Utes.
