Some photos of this spectacular ship would have made the story much better!

That thing's so huge, you could probably put a Boeing 747 inside.

Funny here when my wife and I went on cruise for the first time on the Carnival called Elation we had a good time. But when my wife heard from one lady near her saying your ship is too small. I had to laugh about it but looking at this ship - WOW! We already setup to go on another cruise next year with the family but not this ship.

I hate to bring up the T-word, like "Jacob Astor" did -- but how in the world could it have enough lifeboats? I saw only a relative few in the photo.

It's scary that instead of going slowly under the bridge, it's speeding up. What if there's a miscalculation.

I prefer much small cruise ships when we travel that way. The Paul Gauguin is a wonderful ship with around 350 passengers and sails to Tahiti. Cruise West to Alaska was terrific for seeing wildlife and getting into port and off the ship is so much easier. We were on our way to sightsee and helicopter while the huge ship that docked before us was still unloading. The food is better, staff is friendly and so on. No thanks on the monster cruise ship.
Oh yes, Seabourne was an elegant treat.

bigger is not better. In the past six or seven cruises we have been on we soon learned that the bigger the ship the longer the lines. The smaller the ship the more relaxing and fun.
