With all of the financial problems that our parks are having I can't believe that they would waste time and money on this!
Cancel the program and fire the person that came up with the idea!
To You've got to be kidding me:
Youv'e got to be kidding me. What our world needs is more support for artists and art. I am an artist and am thrilled and excited by the prospects of this program. Imagine, staying in Zion Park and painting the most beautiful place on earth and then exhibiting that artwork. Art is beauty and art can make a bad economy seem bearable.
I'm an artist and a writer about artists and I agree about the importance of art. How wonderful to be able to paint in Zion's! And how difficult to make a living as a freelance artist or writer.
But then my political side takes over and I feel that it's unjust to burden the taxpayers any further when so many people are strapped for living money to benefit just one artist (at a time). If art is meaningful, others will value it, too.
