Men happily threaded to old clothes

As a General Contractor who deals with asphalt work, sealcoating, and parking lot striping, my clothes get pretty beat up.

The only rule my wife has, is that I don't launder them at home in her washer and dryer.
The dryer tends to melt the sealer off the clothes, stain the dryer, and as a result...EVERYTHING comes out smelling like diesel and asphalt.

So...I purchased a stacking set for my warehouse, and I wash the offending laundry myself. I keep the offending 'smellies' there at the warehouse, and I shower and change at the warehouse before returning home.

That way...she's not tempted to toss out my work clothes just because they are covered in sealcoat, crackfiller or paint.

As for torn and threadbare clothing...I toss those out myself.

I can't conceive of a guy getting so mad at his wife for throwing away torn clothing that it would require marriage counseling.

I repaired the soles on my boots with Gorilla glue, and I still have my clothes from work that I use around the house or while working on the cars. My wife's only requirement: that I don't wear them to sleep in. (Aw shucks).

My husband has a pair of shoes that are older than me -really! He buys classic clothing but man he hangs on to some old stuff.
On top of that I reorganized his closet and mine, he had more pairs of shoes than I do! We both don't have to work and sometimes I wonder why we have all these clothes. My goal by years end -go back through and get rid of lots of stuff -mostly mine.
