Go FEZ | 12:27 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Why wont JERRY change, we lose again, go with fez and oker insted of Boozer he was Ice cold. Here we go again 14 wins on the road this year with these Turds, BUT AK 47 and D-will were Lights out!!!!

Fesenko did VERY well in the game. He really needed to be in early in the fourth quarter when the Jazz were playing without a center and getting hammered in the paint. Sloan is going to have to start trusting the young man a little bit more, especially when Memo's hurting.

Peace out from the Jazz Oracle!

I am amazed everyone beat me to it, discussing why Fez was not in when Denver went on run ending 3rd and starting 4th,

There can be no one questioning Okur and is toughness. I applaud him and hope this injury will not get worse overnight to affect him and the team future games

I like Fez's play.

I just wish Sloan would play him more and let him learn the game playing and making mistakes.

Heck, if Jazz fans could stomach Big O for several years, we can stomach Fez, plus he has a better game than Ostertag.

Memo to Sloan: Play Fez more and mix it up a bit. Play Okur at PF and Fez at Center.

C'mon, Sloan, do something different!!!!!
Okur | 5:16 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
You have to like the Turk's toughness. Hope its contagious on the team...
give me a break | 6:10 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Fes over Boozer? One is an NBA All-Star the other is t a DLeague All-star.

One is team captain, the other is happy to be dressed. You really think Sloan should play Fes? I don't even know if Fes can shoot.. Boozer looked awful last night, but his shot will eventually fall. Sloan has to put his confidence in his best players.

Fes did well, but he wasn't great.
Miles | 8:24 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Jerry is so caught up in the fact that Fes doesn't know what he is doing on offense that he can't play him. Jerry, I thought that defense was your priority this year? Which is it? The reason this team is lost is Jerry doesn't even know what he wants as the leader of the team.

Dwill play some D.

I am amazed that Fes is playing over Koufos. Or that both aren't in the game when we are getting literally blown out and manhandled insided. It is just ridiculous. It happened in the playoffs last year and both of them sat when Bynum, Gasol and Odum's length killed us. Let the young boys play and fight inside. I cringe when I see Boozer and Okur and even Milsap flat-footed in the paint. Let the 7 footers play, especially KK.
Re;Give me a break | 9:19 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
You need a break if you can't see Fez is the man to plug up the middle. Are you really Sloan? Yes and Fez is shooting rather well.( 3 for 3 last night.)

Boozers still horrible defense should have him on the bench. Guess Sloans tough talk about benching people who don't play defense was all talk. Talk, talk, talk, talk.
Lack of hustle | 9:20 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
That's the thing about Okur that should scare the Jazz. This guy can do nothing but shoot. He doesn't play hard or with any energy.
Bring on Fez | 9:26 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Come on Jerry. Plug that hole in the paint already. Get with the program.
Nevada fan  | 9:37 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
To give me a break: With all due respect Fes was great under the rim and offensively too. Since Boozer was having an off night he should have played the young centers and moved Okur to the 4 at least until the young guys got in foul trouble.
Millsap owes Miller | 9:50 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
After that defensive performance Millsap should give Miller back some money.

He was signed for his toughness and his defense and I saw neither.

What I saw was a 6'6" supposed PF get owned by NENE and he looked like he did not know what to do to stop him.

Boozer made some more defensive effort than normal and at least made Nene take some tougher shots.

Nene went through the midget Millsap like water through screen door.

You simply can't compete defensively with TWO undersized PF's....not in this division/conference.

Expect more of the same as I don't think Millsap is going to grow any more.
Fans | 9:56 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Don't want Carlos he doesn't play defense. It's not required in his 12.7 million this year.

We want Fez! Bring him on!
Anonymous | 10:29 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Okur took 3 charges - his rotation was pretty decent. He played pretty hard considering that he was on one bad leg.
Experts say | 11:21 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Memo is the 5th best center in the league, so stop your whining. MIllsap looked like he was a little too comfortable with his contract, and Boozer definitely didn't learn anything about defense over the summer. Ronnie B on the other hand played pretty well. Where was he when the lights went out?
I respect Okur | 12:09 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
He is improving his game and taking leadership of this team. It is Okur and DWill's team.

On Fez. Sloan has to play matchups. Fez played well. No fouls and a few points but he immediately changed the mood of the game. Millsap is to short to play C against DEN. Boozer was only going to shoot outside last night.

Sloan has to play matchups. He has to sit both Boozer and Millsap regardless of ego when they do not match up.

He could play Fez and Okur sometimes and he should play Koufos.

Boozer and Millsap were a defensive liability and not much help on offense. Fez and Koufos can get just as many garbage rebounds and produce as many points as Boozer/Millsap did but with much better defense. The Boozer/Millsap minutes were a waste.

DEN is tall (maybe Sloan noticed)? Maybe Koufos should have had a shot. He usually plays as well if not better than Fez.

Okur is going to get hurt. Sloan develop Koufos so he is ready to log 20 minutes for more out of necessity.

I don't know that it does us alot of good to complain and tell Sloan what to do in the paper, I'm sure he doesn't read or care what we say.
I agree with alot of the comments though, Fes and KK need to play alot more, CJ needs to be developed. If the Jazz are to improve it will be because some of the young players with talent get time and develope. It is frustrating to see some of the potential the young players have and then see Sloan keep them on the bench.
We need defense and Fes and KK can provide that. Also I think they oculd do better on Offense if Sloan would post them up and go to them, but he won't. They only get points by hustle and offensive rebounds or having the ball fall into their hands. No plays are fun for them.
The Jazz have some talent but it's not being used right. Sloan doens't give young guys enough playing time to delovope and he won't let them make mistakes without pulling them. That doesn't build confidence. Let's hope the youngs develope.
Chuck Nunn | 1:09 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
I'm not real worried about Boozer's shooting in this game – although it was EXTREMELY frustrating to watch – and I'm not an advocate of him not getting minutes at the 4. But he and Paul didn't need to be matching up defensively with Nene and Birdman, that's just too much size. Fesenko should have been in when Memo was out, and I'm hoping that Coach will take that into consideration in the future and play the matchups a bit better.
"Fes over Boozer?" | 1:16 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
one showed up last night, and one sucked.

ill give you a break to go rewatch the game.
Fes can defend. Boozer did not. fes finished around the hoop, boozer did not.

come back to me when you put your glasses on chump.

I didn't notice | 1:38 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
But did Sloan ever have Millsap and Boozer on the floor at the same time?
todd on okur | 1:50 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
leave him alone. He has become I think more of a verbal leader possibly since he has matured got married with a family, this man played on a bum knee and ankle guys and girls..He did try and play defense, and I ripped him last year for that, he rotated and if i remember right almost had a block even.

This guy cannot jump or lift and he buried 3s. If anything he sat way way too long when Denver was on the run they were

I am angry about the loss, but Mehmout gets a pass from me
I did notice | 2:50 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
that Paul and Booz were both on the court together in the 4th quarter.
Shaybo | 3:18 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Fez was a bright spot in the game, it's nice to see someone in there who will go after an inside shot. Also nice to see a Jazz take it to the hole and dunk over people with some authority.
Chuck Nunn | 3:29 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
I did notice. Y'all go back and check the play-by-play on NBA.com. By the by, Okur played his heart out and it showed, so I hope that anything I've posted has led anyone to think that I'm down on Memo. I'm just saying that when he's not on the floor, Fess needs to be.

Peace out from the Jazz Oracle!
millsap | 3:30 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
should not have been guarding nene. one is a center one is a forward. we have 3 7 ft centers why arent they guarding their center?we play la millsap guarding gasol or bynum our 7 footers either out at the 3 point line standing around or on the bench. then everybody wonders why millsap caint stop them. put in a 7 ft center to stop a 7 ft center. and i aint no coach
blauch | 4:22 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
We can play Boozer and Millsap together. Last season Boozer played about 35 percent of his minutes with Millsap. They are going to play together - there is not enough minutes in 48 minutes game to play Power Forwards. It is going to happen.

Deal with it folks
Re: I respect Okur | 7:33 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
All Okur does is hang out at the three pt line and hoist up shots........."His Team"?........He couldn't lead a blind man to the outhouse!
the Mailman | 11:23 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Memo did well to come back on but most of us here know he aint the answer to our problems in the middle..

Well said Bring on Fez @ 9.26am.

I and many others have been saying that since the start of last season.

And you guys need to stop blaming Boozer for evry little thing that goes wrong. How bout blaming the guy getting millions driving this team and its fans to ruins.

What a waste of a good basketball team!

Bring on Fez 2 | 12:17 a.m. Oct. 30, 2009
The Mailman is right on the money baby. Let the big boy out of his cage. It's time.
STEVE-O | 2:23 p.m. Oct. 30, 2009
It's a Fesenko LOVE fest in here right now! I like Fes a lot and think he deserves minutes every game. BUT... most of you fans will be throwing him under the bus when he has one bad game. Just like you're doing to Boozer and Millsap now.
The Jazz will be just fine. Once they get things rolling they'll be fine.
