It is always a whole new season going into the play-offs and everyone has to prove themselves all over again. Go prove yourselves. The Milford Altamont match-up should be interesting. PLay-off time!!

Great article but the figure of the Rebels scoring against their opponents this year is even more scewed than the article claimed. Rich's starters have out-scored their opponents 357-11 this season...so far. It is a whole new ball game in the play-offs. Better than the 357-11 is that none of the players are making any of these claims even though they have had a monstrous year. Love the article Amy did on the Whitehorse game and Justice. That is the true Rebels, not the domination in scoring. True class boys. Way to go, so far...

yaaaaawwwwwwnnnn. congrats on the most watered down championship in the history of high school football rich. if you're a good a team as you say you are you should want to be 2a where a championship would accually mean something.

It is too bad that Rich couldn't play Kanab. Just so you know....Rich is one of the smallest enrolled 1A schools. But i'm sure you cherished being the biggest 1A school while you could Kanab. Have fun getting smacked by schools your size. Go San Juan!!!!

Rich made every attempt to play 2a this year. They all ran except for Wyoming and Idaho! hmmmmm......doesn't that make the Utah 2A championshiop the most watered down championship in the history of 2A if the 2A teams can not beat the 1A champion, worse than that, they played 1A teams but ran from scheduling the best 1A team. Consider this, Parawon and Enterprise and a limping Kanab is in the thick of your so called 2A play-offs. Other 2A teams are even worried about loosing to these teams that for sure would be dismantled by Rich. Pot calling the kettle black.

Here we go again. Sure, maybe Rich would beat the 2A teams, but it doesn't matter because we won't play any of them. So please stop with the trash talk. And to make the point we did try to play 2A teams so Kanab, please stop the talking because we would have loved to play you. And to the Rebel fans, please humble yourselves, because even if it was possible to beat the 2A teams we won't get the chance so drop it. Go rebels

How about UHSAA allows 1A to sponsor a spring baseball state torney as well as fall. Schools would have to decide to play baseball fall or spring. With that in mind, is there any chance Panguitch, Wayne, Piute, Valley would move baseball to the spring and let their boys and community experience the great sport of football? 1A Football would be strenghtened and no one would have to give up baseball. Milford would sure love it! Then they wouldn't have to play both at once.

The facts just had to be spelled out for the Cowboy fan after the disrespectful remark. All is well. Have a good weekend all and I for one hope that Kanab pulls off the win against San Juan but I think that they are not in the same league this year. Hope they proove my wrong. They have a very good and respected football program in Kanab but they chose not to play the Rebels and that had to be pointed out. Either way, it is going to be a fun 3 weeks for all and fun to follow! So who is going to win between Milford and Altamont?

What an idea - playing 1A baseball in the spring! Isn't baseball a spring - not fall - sport everywhere else but 1A. You have to give Milford props for doing both sports at the same time and doing both very well.

Baseball is a spring sport. Maybe we can get Panguitch, wayne, piute, etc to realize that and then they could also play football which is a fall sport. Both sports would be better.

Let see, if I am correct, isn't the MLB season just ending right now...hmmmmmm... playing in the fall. the time when the most exciting baseball takes place.
I am sick and tired of hearing the debate about spring vs. fall baseball for the 1A. Give it a break.

Rich would have been killed(again) by Kemmerer, Wyo; but for the first time in about 20 years they didnt want to play the Rangers, that's the only way they could get s perfect record this year, play the Rangers and then you would be a bona fide undefeated team. Until then 1A football in Utah is weak, and going undefeated there isn't saying that much.

I can gaurantee Rich didnt try to schedule san juan. When you guys were 2A all you did was complain about how you have to travel to Blanding to play us. You also complained about the size of your school and how it wasnt fair you were in 2A.

Kemmerer Wyoming is horrible this year! I am sure that Rich would have loved to play them. Kemmerer is the one that took Rich off their schedule. If you say Utah football is weak at all, just so you know, Utah's 3A lower ranked teams would beat Wyoming's biggest school.

hey JS Kemmerer has never killed Rich ever.. killing someone is what Rich has done to teams all year. You have never "Killed" Rich. When you have ever won games against us its always been close last year we came back and came very close you beat us by 5, but you still beat us. When "WE" beat you we "KILLED" you. and we have so much more wins over you than you us. Keep that in mind before you run your brainless mouth. But then again you are from wyoming.

i have to agree that rich is dominating 1A football this year but guess what we are 1A. and because of that sports have been apart of what we do, so we are very talented at everything. its sad to say that sports are our life around here. but that is what makes us first class

Just For you all to remember DUCHESNE beat EVERYONE they played 1a, 2a, and 3a in 2006. You can't really argue about that cause it happened 1a football is better then people think. Good luck Rich and Go DUCHESNE!

i loved your comment i hate how bigger schools want to play smaller schools if they lose they say they were all sick .. and if we end up not playing them they say we are scared. very grown up of them dont you think
