Having coached with Coach Murray and knowing Coach Pearce very well from his days at SUU. I know both teams will be ready to play. I give the advantage to Hunter. Like the article said many of these seniors have started since their sophomore year. This experience will continue to play dividends this week and into the playoffs. Hunter 28 Weber 17.
my prediction | 1:28 p.m. Oct. 28, 2009
Hunter 35, Weber 21

Hunter is my darkhorse team. Weber will have to get great line play to beat Hunter and can't turn the ball over. Go Fronk.

I don't know if having the bye week is good or bad at this point in the year. Sure you get some rest but you get out of your routine. Hopefully Hunter doesn't show any rust. I think this game will be won in the trenches. I just don't see Weber being able to withstand the pounding that is coming.

Weber has no passing game. Hunter will win. Weber really has not been that good for quite awhile. Hunter 36 Weber 14
Prediction | 7:23 p.m. Oct. 28, 2009
Weber 24 Hunter 17. 2 Touchdowns for David Daines from Weber
SGS | 8:20 p.m. Oct. 28, 2009
Weber 28 Hunter 24. I have not seen Hunter play this year but I have seen Weber and they have gotten better every game and have been finding ways to win games. This team has heart and skills.
Predict This | 8:59 p.m. Oct. 28, 2009
If Hunter gets an early lead they will try to run clock the whole game. They will run the ball all game every down until Weber stops it or commits everyone to stop it. Then Weber will be at the mercy of their play-action pass which killed Cottonwood and Skyline. Weber needs to get an early lead and try to force Hunter to play catch-up. I think in the end Hunter's massive offensive line wins the day. Hunter 28 Weber 14.

Just like weber hunter has also gotten better each week. Hunter started the season 1-3 and then rolled off 5 straight wins including cottonwood and skyline(at skyline). Hunter wins this one at home. The game will be close for the first quarter but webers line may have trouble moving those big bodies all night. And don't say weber is quicker. Hunter is bigger stronger and their backs run down hill. Running around them won't work. Hunters skill players are just as good and as fast as webers. Hunter 35-21 weber. Weber hasn't played a team this year as big, strong, fast and PHYSICAL as hunter. Hunter has played teams and beat teams as good as weber this year.

My boys will be there with the "Hunter Pride" in tack. They may have had a bye last week, but coach didn't stop conditioning and practicing, good, bad, or ugly weather. They are focused and ready. The "BLUE" will rule. 'Bring it on'
Weber Winning? | 10:26 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
RE: SGS . . . Man you just made my point for me, you havent seen hunter play . . . if you had you wouldnt be able to give weber a shot! Like many have said, hunter is BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER, and MORE PHYSICAL!!! which brings me to you MR. PREDICTION!!!! do you really think that Weber is going to hold the hunter offense to 17 POINTS!!! Anyways, it will be close early on, but weber has no shot in the second half, Hunter 42 Weber 14!!!

Coach Pearce be in Burts ear every step of the way. Call your defense and make sure he listens to you. Good Luck Hunter make some noise in the playoffs.

Weber wins 32-25
What?  | 5:52 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Hunter one and done? Thats crazy talk. I don't see the team from Weber county coming into West Valley and beating Hunter on their home field.
Weber | 7:10 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Weber will win because coach Murray is the best coach in the state, he is far better than Hunter's coach
WHO WON? | 8:35 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Let see tomorrow who is the best team.Good luck to both team,Hunter and Weber.I want to see a good game tomorrow.
Best Coach? | 10:13 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Did weber's head coach and offensive coordinator play and COACH college football? on weber's staff did 6 guys play college football? i dont know, that's why i ask the question! if i was you mr weber fan, id check your facts before you made such an outlandish comment about your coach being the best
RE: Best Coach? | 8:23 a.m. Oct. 30, 2009
I'm not sure about the rest of his staff but I can answer your question about Coach Murray. He did play college ball. Don't know why that has any relivance on the game and for what its worth so did Hunter coach Dustin Pearce. Like I said in my prediction both coaches will have their teams ready to play.

I was at the game and it was a fun game to watch with two good teams going at it! Big plays were the name of the game in this one!

I'll post this on this story too. Weber played hard. They r a good team and I hope That the tase of a good season only makes them want more. Glad to see the teams up north r competitive too. With that said, hunter looked a bit slow. Maybe the by week had somehing to do with it. In the second half lau was hitting the holes harder. He will need to have his best performance if hunter wants to beat lone peak, but the good thing is that hunter has the talent to go all the way. Both teams seemed classy and I could tell from the stands that after the game the warriors were holding their heads high. They got beat by a better team but they gave it their all. Looks like the second round should be as intense as the first.

Hunter's Ekuasi Tavo (2) hugs teammates Fausi Tanuvasa and Billy Reed during the Wolverines' region championship clinching victory over Skyline two weeks ago. The trio will try and continue the momentum heading into the playoffs against Weber.
