Utah Jazz: Newcomers Maynor, Matthews fitting in nicely

Maynor can also. However, he has a long way to go. The Jazz run best when they can run a 2 PG offense. They have not been the same team since Fish left. Playing Fish with DWill made the Jazz very difficult. Playing Maynor with DWill will work but Maynor is going to have to develop defensively quickly. Maynor is also going to have to find a better shot than the floater. Fish shot from the outside when needed.

The Jazz have not had a true center since Ostertag. FEZ/Koufos give the Jazz the option of playing with a true center, if they can get their act together.

The 2 PG and True Center approaches give the Jazz options in creating winning match ups with more teams.

Mathews gives depth at the 2/3. He has all year to develop but with CJ and Korver out he is needed now. The Jazz really need some good deep shooters to open up the inside. They need good perimeter defense. Mathews may be able to provide that by the years end.

To bad the Jazz can't trade Harp for Smith of the Clips. He is giving the Lakers problems.
