Well Done | 8:37 a.m. Oct. 28, 2009
We too have a calling to serve in a Spanish speaking branch and we know of what you speak. I am a second witness to your testimony. Well done Jerry. This is one of your best writings.

This is a very heartfelt story Jerry! What you said is so true; we are in the midst of storm-tossed seas and we must hang on tight to the iron rod for it will surely lead to the calming shores and safety. God bless all our brothers & sisters!

I loved your story, this week, thank you.
I read "you" every week and gain a great deal of strength from you.
While my wife were serving a mission in Houston we occasionaly attended Spanish speaking wards and branche's, and although we can't speak spanish we always felt a great spirit there.
I couldn't help but make a comment this week because I loved your story.

Tsunami coming | 7:37 p.m. Oct. 28, 2009
Calming storm tossed seas? Well, maybe. But I think there is a tsunami building against the Church and its abuse of power and influence in harming those not of their faith. Tsunamis are not caused by storms. Nor are they "calmed". There is no record of Jesus ever calming a tsunami. The only thing you can do with a tsunami is RUN! I think that is the Church's best course of action, too.

God is abusing His power cramming His love and selflessness and compassionate service down our throats.
His children are all hypocrites and just in it for the money.

To Right,

Correction: People claiming to be acting in the name of God are abusing power and cramming "love and selflessness and compassionate service" down our throats in a bullying attempt to turn everyone into THEM!

they say "the caravan moves on" and what they mean is "you will be assimilated. resistance is futile"

Tsunamis, God abusing His power, People claiming to act in the name of God. Why all the hostility to a very sweet ode to a 'people in the wilderness'? Thank you for sharing a 'higher moment' amidst the pathos of our faltering society. Such anger over spiritual moments bespeaks the evil that resides in the hearts of many.
