Columbus comes in cold in front of the net, and there are those who think GD is a better predictor of future results than pts, especially since there's no 3/1/0 in the playoffs, so RSL's +8 comes pretty close to the Crew's +10.

Was it a season to celebrate? Definitely! RSL is in the playoffs again. And Rio Tinto hosted Everton and Chivas. Good times. Thanks RSL.

It's time we take the next step. I really hope we can say we won the MLS Cup our 1st year in the RioT. The Crew are good but we can be better. I hope we give em a Halloween triple. 3-0 will put us in a great spot.

Chadders: It is less pressure and I think better we start at home, because play can looser 1-0 or 2-1 or 2-0 and we can be focused,at Columbus to try and play for early goal and move on or at least have a 2 goal cushion

I think RSL needs to aim for a multiple goal win at the RioT. Columbus is vulnerable and RSL is more than capable of getting it done at home. After that I think they should aim for 1 away goal...and win lose or draw @ CC they should be good to go...

I agree todd. This format definetely gives the underdog a great chance to move on. If we can beat them and beat them good here on Halloween, sky's the limit. It wasn't a fluke that we had such a dominant homefield, we really need to take advantage of it.

I have to say the way the playoffs are set up doesn't make much sense. IMO if they are going to work all season to get the regular season points title they should have some sort of advantage.. That being said I'm glad they don't.

the Crew does have an advantage. As away goals count the same as home goals, if the team are tied they go to extra time after the 2nd game. That home field advantage could make all the difference in the extra time.

Stucknutah is right on, that is how the advantage is played out.

However, a 3-0 or more game for RSL would move us to the next round. The crew are tired and worn out and injured; so we need to stick it to them with a heavy RSL hammer. I believe we lead the league in 3+ goal wins at home. That is why our goal differential is so phenom when we can't win or tie on road.
