Good Luck, Sadi | 10:07 p.m. Oct. 26, 2009
Best of luck to all partipants, but a special good luck in healing to Hurricane's Sadi Hoyt. Great player and possibly the most friendly girl you'll ever meet. Tough break for the Tigers.
Shout out to Sadie | 11:41 p.m. Oct. 26, 2009
I threw against Sadie and played BBall against her in high school. She is a very competitive athlete but yet is one of the nicest people to everyone she goes against. I hope everything goes well for her in her recovery!!!

sorry hurricane | 2:29 p.m. Oct. 27, 2009
So sorry to Sadie for her accident. We feel for you and your team. We understand bad timing. Our daughter broke her foot 2 weeks before the state basketball tournament 2 years ago during her Junior year. She was heart broken and the team felt her absence. She accepted it and moved on with a great attitude. We know you will do the same. Good luck in recooperating quickly. Ane get back out there for the next sport and the next year.
N. Sanpete living in dreams | 2:47 p.m. Oct. 27, 2009
North Sanpete fans...you have got to wake up and live in the real world.

Morgan, Richfield, and Hurricane are all better teams than you.

Now that the Tigers are missing one key player, then it will be Morgan or Richfield without even breaking a sweat.

Hate to hear of an accident that injures any player. I hope that Sadie will have a quick and complete recovery. Best of luck to all teams!!
Upsets | 5:49 p.m. Oct. 27, 2009
I think there will be some big upsets in this tournament. Richfield will give Morgan a challenge. Hurricane's star player getting hurt will make the team want to win for her, they'll be tough to beat. But on the first day, #5 Grantsville will get by #1 Carbon. Region 10 is weak!
manti/juab | 7:56 a.m. Oct. 28, 2009
Anyone know who won the play in game last night between Manti and Juab?
Re: Upsets | 8:20 a.m. Oct. 28, 2009
I would typically say that Richfield has to get to Morgan first, but Sad to say it looks as though they have the easiest route of all... Too Bad Bear River is NOT going to get the upset or they could actually make it passed their 2nd round game! As it is, Richfield will win in 3, win in 3, and then say what you want, but I think Morgan will win... Too many Threats, Too hard to beat! But I too will agree... Region 10 is weak.
agree with upsets | 9:03 a.m. Oct. 28, 2009
I think with Hurricane player getting hurt that Morgan has this state title in the bag. I don't think anybody will come close. What a program Coach Wiscombe has up there. WOW!!!! Great Job coach. And as for Hurricane, I feel for your team and your player. I hope she has a speedy recovery! And that your team can pull couple of upsets!!! Good Luck to all the teams. Have fun girls and enjoy your state tournament!!!

Just for your know it all attitude. EVERYTIME Carbon's volleyball team has played against your Grantsville team in the past 3 years we have won. Quite easily as I clearly remember. In fact your J.V. and Soph. teams lost badly to Carbon in the Carbon Classic this year. It might not be the toughest region, but it would be even weaker if Grantsville were in it. For many years our region consisted of North Sanpete, Juan Diego, and Delta. The last few years the 4 teams that came from that region(including Carbon) placed in the top 6 teams. We know how to play hard. It may not be the same team that has placed second the last 2 years, but they still have heart and great desire. So we'll see on Friday who will come out on top. It won't be your Grantsvile # 5 team! You're still ticked off from last years basketball games. We beat you in preseason and toally blew you out of the water at the state tournament.

WOW.............I made those comments about Grantsville upsetting Carbon cause I've seen both teams play. I'm not from Grantsville! Calm down and enjoy your day. ha ha Anger management maybe!! Most of the comments are for Morgan and Hurricane not against Carbon. But after the way you acted..... GO Grantsville!! Nobody said anything about your season, or basketball (whatever thats all about)!! Main comments nobody will come close to Morgan. WOW...............Great sportmanship!!!
Re Re upsets @930 | 12:02 p.m. Oct. 28, 2009
That was pretty awesome by the Carbon Responder!!! LOL... Someone must be a little scared to have to have a little tirade like that. LOL... BOTH teams are good, it WILL be a good match up! Carbon is good year in and year out. I would be careful saying that Carbon beats Grantsville EVERYTIME and EASILY... Haha, making comments like that just adds fuel to someones fire. BESIDES... That wont even be the game to be watching at 930! It will be Duschene Vs Monticello! Duschene with the upset!!!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE AT STATE!!!
Morgan is just great | 1:01 p.m. Oct. 28, 2009
The only upset will be if some one beats Morgan. I don’t see that happening now that Hurricane is down a star player. If Morgan wins this year, I really see them winning next year as well seeing they only loose one senior. The Garfield girl is the sister to the girl that set the state record two years ago with 47 kills. I saw her earlier in the year and she can sure jump. Good luck to all the girls this week, have fun and give it your all.

hmm... we will see come friday. NS may not have played their best volleyball yet. And hurricane, richfield and morgan have no idea what to expect from them. I would not be suprised to see a couple upsets this year.
Anonymous | 10:16 p.m. Oct. 28, 2009
All talk...how about we let the games speak for themselves eh?! We'll see you there!!

The 3A title could be up for grabs from a few teams. Don't count out anyone yet..
Observer | 8:49 a.m. Oct. 29, 2009
I wouldn't forego the tournament and hand the trophy away yet, Morgan is a quality team with a quality coach but we still need to see if Richfield is going to show up. As I have watched a number of teams this year Richfield shows great talent specifically with their jr. outside hitter, this will be an interesting matchup to see the coaching strategies.

Who needs anger management? If it doesn't involve you, then butt out.

Sounds like someone's a little self righteous. By the way Delta is taking the title this year.
Phil | 1:47 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
I would just like to say to Carbon, You had a great team last year although I believe Grantsville was the better team in basketball. I hope Grantsville kicks some serious trash on Friday. Good Luck Girls! Go get em!
ANON | 2:16 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
I think there is going to be some great volleyball action this weekend! And possibly some upsets! My pick: I think the top 3 will be Morgan, Richfield & North Sanpete, just not sure where the placements will be.
GO MORGAN | 7:16 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
If anyone saw Morgan play in the Utah Classic tournament you would know that if Morgan is on their game they are very tough to beat!!! They have a great coach and they have a ton of weapons. You can't just key on one outside hitter and expect to beat Morgan. There should be some good games. Good Luck to all teams
Observer  | 9:02 p.m. Oct. 29, 2009
Carbon started out a little shaky this season. But anyone who has seen them lately can back me up on this. The girls have shown real heart and real desire. They have also showed that they can play some good ball. I think they may prove themselves this weekend and come out higher than most people are thinking they will. Good luck to everyone.
