Wish I could have been there but I wasn't up for 730 miles one way behind the wheel. Drat!
I AM flying to Santa Rosa to see him in one of his Christmas concerts and am sick that I'll miss Ann Arbor when he sings with the symphony. He's incredible! I just think he's the most talented and endearing human on the face of planet earth. No lie! Love this guy!
Hello All:
This article was about an incredible young man with a gift. Lets focus on complimenting him on his efforts and not Orin Hatch. Whether you like Orin or not, this is not the forum for it.
Thank you David for conducting yourself with such class and humility. I wish you well as you continue to share your talents with others.....and nothing wrong with making money at the same time. :)
Not a bias opinion, never met either Orin nor David.
I thought there were a bunch of other speakers at this conference; I guess they were left in the dust when Archuleta showed up? Maybe this story isn't about the conference but just about David, eh?
I am sure there were other speakers, who are professional speakers. David is not known for his speaking, he is pretty timid about that. So let's give the 18 year old boy credit for getting up there and speaking in front of a bunch of women that could be his grandma. I love to get in front of a large group and speak, but I get scared to death doing a solo, have only done a few. So I respect and admire him for having the courage to go beyond his comfort zone. He is the story, for showing others it can be done. Give him the credit he deserves.
David is inspiring! His talent is unbelievable! His winter tour will be fantastic and his Christmas CD is EPIC :)
I think he did a great job. He was true to himself.
Didn't try to pretend to be someone else. As they
say about David Archuleta, "he is the real deal." It was nice to see the fatherly emotion Orin expressed toward David as if David was his son. I know that there are many father's or male adults who feel this toward David. You just can't help yourself male or female. You get that automatic motherly or fatherly even brotherly and sisterly reaction toward him. It could be that David will be involved with politics in his latter years of his life. His concern about
people, family and the love he expresses about it just may want him to go forward to see a REAL change.
I love you DAvid!!!! Your a great example to me !!!
I loved his singing, and really enjoyed his speech. He was charming! The whole conference was wonderful! Thank you, Orrin and Elaine Hatch!
David is such a nice well mannered young man. His talent is absolutely the greatest. I was very happy to hear his speech at the Women's Conference. GO DAVID!!!! I think it is just wonderful for David to get his practicing on Women of all ages. I'm a Grandma to 12 grandchildren.
I think you're a great example to others David! Thanks for being such. I had no idea you were speaking at the womens conference and am sad I missed it. It would have been fun to see you in person. I LOVE YOUR VOICE!
I agree with Angela,Madeline Alvarez and others who think that David is a good example and should get credit for speaking at the womens conference. He is a real deal. I love him and will always be his fan as liong as I live, because he is such a nice, well manner, humble, down to earth young man. I wish I can attend the conference. May God bless him always. Please get his CD/album it's worth every penny, it's so beautiful, perfect for a Christmas gift!!!!!!
I totally agree with everyone who says that David's sincere and a good example. He's been so big and loved all around the world but he's never failed to be so down to earth! He's genuine with everything he says, and Im completely proud to be his fan. I got his new album and I love it! He sings from the heart, there's something in his voice that tells us that he sings not for fame and fortune but just because he loves it! He has the passion for singing that most teens his age don't. David's a really really really great person. He deserves all the best. :)
David has got to be the most amazing 18 year old! How many young men his age would be willing to speak at a Women's Conference? Not many. Not only is he talented, he is sweet, humble, and adorable. He appeals to people of all ages.
I'm going to buy his Christmas album and hope he makes a ballad album for all of us fans who are not teens.
