Global warmth? | 3:31 p.m. Oct. 26, 2009
I'm getting a little fed-up with all this "global warming" that seems to creep in earlier and earlier each year. I'm going to start doing my part though and go out and empty an aerosol can into the ozone. What can I say....? I'm tired of shoveling "Global Warmth" off of my sidewalk.

It is amazing how many people have no understanding of what climate change really means and what it effects are. Just because it snows in late October doesn't disprove climate change. Some are willfully ignorant.

As much as our legislature and current governor wish it not to be so, the science is in and the conclusion is that climate change will effect everyone one of us in profound ways, not just those who live in low-lying areas. Utah ski resorts know that climate change will mean a shorter season on average and less overall snow. Hunters will be impacted by the change in range and diet of deer and elk. Lumber will be impacted by climate change as well.

And our health has already been negatively impacted by this massive carbon output. You can literally drive into the smog and Utah Lake is unusable. Sticking our heads in the sand and saying dumb things like global warming isn't real every time a cold front is predicted is foolhardy to the extreme.

Hey, my basement is colder than the rest of the house...that must be proof global warming is a hoax. Duh.

As a former Minnesotan, I relish the snow for the plants, and the needed water for the water table, but as for anything else "so what" (?) is my comment.

Enjoy it. Don't fret over it. It will be here for a much longer time, than now.

The ski resort operators are likely the big winners, when it snows early, anyway.

I do have my shovel at the ready. ...
So no one can say I was not prepared.

You libs are so logically impaired. To change "global warming" to "Climate change" is like saying "We created OR saved 10,000 jobs." Nobody is buying it anymore.
No global warming | 9:48 a.m. Oct. 27, 2009
Why is it every time it snows a bunch of people post comments like "I'm tired of shoveling x inches of global warming off my driveway?" On summer days when it's 104 in SLC, I don't hear anyone claiming that proves global warming is true. Why is it the right is the only group that doesn't seem to understand the difference between weather and climate?

One day of snow does not prove global warming is false any more than one day of record heat does not prove it is true. You tried your joke, it wasn't funny, now move on.
