$1M bail for man in slaying of in-law

My fear having carried a concealed weapon as a cop, is that having a concealed weapon can make a bad situation worse.
I hope Steve is OK and I hope we can all learn from this and the shooting with the Riverton neighborhood watch that having a handgun in a heated situation is often not helpful.
People don't kill people; guns kill people.
Also, money is evil!
Ummm, how did the gun go off? By a PERSON. It was bought by a person, loaded by a person, pointed at someone by a person and the trigger was pulled by a person.
I'm no gun enthusiast, but be realistic. Guns don't kill, people kill. Maybe it's with a gun, maybe it's not. But the gun didn't do it by itself. They are tools.
Steve Strate would do anything for any of us. He really is a good man.
Speaking of Tools of opportunity.... LET'S BAN CHAIRS!!!!

Something major must have been going on to trigger this man to shoot down his brother in law. The only thing that comes to mind is that the son must have been stealing from his mother and abusing her for his drug habits. It happens all the time and children robbing parents deserve the worst someone is willing to give them.
There should be an investigation of the son and mother relationship and the financial activity her accounts. The son had a criminal history of drug abuse and the son-in-law just couldn't stand by and watch this man rob his own mother in to poverty. The courts had their chance many times and it was time for some real justice is what it looks like to me. Some people just don't deserve to live, especially those who are criminal thieves robbing their own parents.
That's my conjecture of the event.
