this article wasted a minute of my life
wow, you can say that again! lol
You must be a slow reader
I'm calling it right now: Boozer is just trying to behave himself in the mean time in case the free agent market gets hit harder by the recession next offseason and will still be wanted by the Jazz by then. If it recovers, then playing really hard will increase his value amongst other teams.
Boozer, nothing will be behind and forgotten until you stay healthy for an entire year! Gut it out, play with intensity and make the best of it. Let's evaluate him at the All-Star break, until that time I don't think anyone cares...
paid. He will do what he has to do to get paid as well as he can. I can't say as I blame him or disrespect his desire to earn as much as he can.
I hope he has a great season.
No changes this year in Boozer's defense. He's trying to work on it, but he's the same slow moving faker from last year.
Get rid of Sloan and Boozer!
The results will be the same from last year. Nothing will change until Sloan is gone!
Boozer has always worked his butt off. I have never heard Sloan complain about him not working hard enough. Coach K always raved about him too. If two of the greatest minds in basketball support him, shouldn't Jazz fans?
Its true that his defense isn't wonderful, he gets injured and he's not as consistent as Malone, but he is still a dang good player. Injuries can't be avoided though. Its a bold claim to say Boozer has faked injuries and really quite ridiculous. Last year he had surgery, you can't fake surgery.
The man loves to compete and I hope he has a great year.
defense is all about working your butt off. any body can play def you just have to want to. so you can tell who is working ther butt off by their def boz noooooooot.
I love Jazz hoops and I am excited for the season to finally begin. But, at the same time I wish it was already game 82 and the Jazz were getting ready to unload him. The sooner he is gone the better. Even as die-hard as I am I WILL NOT pay to see a Jazz game he is wearing a Jazz uniform in.
Everyone said he would be gone. I said he would only be gone if the Jazz could make a deal that would help the team.
Sure O'Conner could have likely traded him multiple times but most of it would not have addressed the teams needs or saddled us with longer expensive contracts or other lousy players.
Boozer is among the leagues top OFFENSIVE talent. He is severely lacking in defense but there is no doubt this team is better and deeper WITH Boozer.
Millsap signed a deal with Portland to play BEHIND La Marcus Aldridge, Lamar Odom, and Joel Pryzbilla.
He would have been lucky to get 20 minutes a night there...but he was "ok" with that because he signed the deal.
I told you Boozer would be back and he would be starting as he should be because he is taller and better offensively than Millsap. Our team would be significantly worse if Boozer were not here.
I am not hearing any drama since Booz has been back. Booz is playing for dollars so we should expect the best he has until he is gone whether that is allstar break or end of season who knows.
Wouldnt it be great if every year were a contract year so that people actually played hard all the time!!
Spin.... Talk like this will elevate his value on the trade market.
Why trade Boozer for another big contract? Just let him play his year out and then Kevin can make a decision if we want him around or not. If he leaves, then Millsap and AK have to take the 4 over. If he gets hurt, then they will just have to do so early than expected. We gave Millsap a 4 year deal so one would assume that he is capable of starting at the 4 spot.
We are stronger with Boozer starting at PF and Millsap coming off the bench, and also backing up AK at the SF,Sure Boozer is playing for the cash but so does everyone in the NBA!
KOC is trying to up Boozer's trade value, nothing more.
This keeps up and everyone will start complaining that the Jazz should have extended his contract like Okur. If the Jazz can get an expiring similar contract and a draft pick they might make a deal. It will be interesting at the trade deadline if the Jazz are in the top 4 in the west to see what they will do? Potentially, you have Harp,Brewer,Korver and Fess, all in the last year of their deals, as trade bait....
Deep down inside Boozer is a good person. He is just one of the boys, a balla, a shot calla, and a hip hop star in waiting.
Respect the star in the sky, even if it is too
bright to see.
Lamar Odom plays for the Lakers
Greg Oden plays for the Blazers
Last I checked Portland doesn't have a 'Lamar Odom' on roster. He is 'owned' by a team further South.
