I worked with Terry as a volunteer for the Tour of Utah and was completely impressed with his ability to lead calmly and distinctly during a complex and often stressful event. He was a wonderful and kind hearted man who influenced not only the world of cycling events but the individual rider.

Thank you for everything you all have said. My father was a remarkable man. He was the strongest, brightest, most dedicated and inspirational man I've ever seen. He not only my father but, my mentor and hero.

Like many, I was fortunate enough to get to know Terry way back when in his Motocross days. Over the years we would cross paths every now and then at cycling events or trade shows. I always enjoyed bumping into Terry. His wonderful sense of humor was only surpassed by his unique ability to put you at ease and make you feel like a long lost friend.

Along with the entire cycling community, I mourn his passing. I hope the organizers of the Tour of Utah can find some way to forever tie Terry and his legacy to this event that meant so much to him. My thoughts and prayers go out to Terry's family. He will be truly missed!

This is such sad news. Over many years of bike races, Terry was one of those kind, decent people who made the entire experience very rewarding and fun. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and my condolences to all my friends in the Utah cycling community.

Terry was just a terrific guy I first met him when I bought an ad in the Intermountain Contractor 18 years ago, and bumped in to him over the years-he was a high quality person!!!!

My son was truly my hero. He was a giant inspiration to me. He was my rock. He will be missed greatly by me. I had so many good times with him. He never tackled anything that he did not master. I always looked up to him. It should be the other way around. He touched so many lives in so many ways. I have learned thru this how much respect that he had from so many people in many circles. He is very highly regarded in the cycling arena.
I could not be more proud of him.
To reiterate what his son said thank you all for the kind words.

Terry went out of his way to invite our small Canadian Team to the Tour of Utah this year and took the time to make it happen within a tight time frame. He was professional and one of the easiest and hard working people I have ever dealt with. You would never know Terry was fighting cancer.

My condolences to his family and the Utah cycling community. He was obviously a great man and father.

You will be missed Terry (Rest in Peace)

Terry's passion for the sport of cycling helped make the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah one of the premier events on the National Racing Calendar.

It would be a fitting and lasting tribute to name a stage of the race in his honor.

If they name a tour stage after Terry, it'd better be a darned tough one. For all the grace and ease and brotherhood in him, he was one of the toughest, most determined individuals I've ever met. And I never raced him (it would have been very, very brief). He was a skilled coworker, a generous coach, a gracious host and an amazingly resourceful man. Vaya con Dios, my friend.

What an amazing man! You will be missed but you leave behind the legacy of your true kindness and strength as well as the example of dignity and grace. My prayers and thoughts are with Cindy and your family.

Our deepest sympathy to family and friends. From the earliest days of seeing Terry getting into bike racing, coaching & directing, he has inspired all of us. We first met Terry when he came in to get a bike to rehab after a motocross injury. He was a fighter and progressed very rapidly. His inner strength and drive kept him going in all he did. Terry did more to promote the sport in the last two years than anyone we've known. He is riding again!

I'd like to send my thoughts and prayers to Terry's family. I had the distinct pleasure of competing against and working with Terry over the years -- I'll remember his tenacious, gentle spirit - he will be missed by many.

It is with great pleasure that I remember Terry on fine autumn day while up Emigration Canyon. I was in my car picking up rocks for my garden and he was riding his bike. I called out to him and he came over, to talk - he smiled (that great Terry smile) and we talked for a bit, then he went on his merry way up Emigration. He was also a great companion in one car ride to/from El Paso when we were both riding at the Tour of the Gila many years ago. He was a kind, gentle man with a fierce passion for life, his family and of course cylcing. We will all miss you Terry! Thanks for everything you did for the cycling community here in Utah, Terry. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family.

Thanks for all the great racing and your endless dedication to our sport, TMac. And you always managed to do it all with a smile and such grace! We will miss you.

My thoughts go out to Terry's family, friends, and everyone involved in cycling in Utah.

I remember Terry from my childhood, he was my favorite cousin and 6 weeks older than I. I didn't get to see him when we both grew up, but I will always remember our 'walk' to town and the trouble we got into, his laugh and his smile, and the gentleness and love he showed while putting up with his smaller, whiney girl cousin.
