Frogs | 11:00 p.m. Oct. 22, 2009
Texas or Provo, still a better team than the Cougars.

After the FSU debacle we know there is no longer any mystique around LES.

Gonna take a lot of watering the field down to slow down the field enough to beat the Frogs.
Re: Frogs | 11:12 p.m. Oct. 22, 2009
They both play on the same field, stop bantering.

Wouldn't it have the same effect on the Cougars?
jdawg | 11:14 p.m. Oct. 22, 2009
right. just like 2006 and 2007 - man. we were up watering all night lol!! the frogs D is good but they are essentially the same team they have been the last couple of years - excellent D, some playmakers on offense and special teams, and not a lot of turnovers. we beat them two of the last three with all the same criteria. don't think this game will be a wash like the FSU game. we will show up - should go down to the wire. its nice having TCU in the conference, but cumulatively the last three years they have been owned by the UTah teams.............1-5 AHAHAHAHA!! go COUGS!!

I see our little brothers up on the hill have been at it again; this time pretending to be Frogs.

No worries little tadpoles, the Cougars will deal with you soon enough; in the meantime, the two best teams in the MWC will be playing for the inside track to the 2009 MWC title with ESPN Game Day as or guest!

Bougars have NO speed. I would suggest a prayer and fasting for rain.
Frogs are way too fast for the Y.
Go Frogs!
We will not lose thsi time | 7:27 a.m. Oct. 23, 2009
I do not think there is any way BYU will lose this game, getting destroyed by FSU is what we needed. For some reason we have the more prideful guys in the nation, our 29 yr old team does this on a yearly basis, we will be undefeated and then we will be over there laughing on the sidelines and then come out and get killed, not just beat but killed... Well now their finally calming down, Max isnt throwing picks, its in provo, its HC weekend, Gameday is here, this will be a Cougar victory and I promise you that, if not fire Anae and Jamie Hill, get some new DB's and get some speed and a coach with some fire wouldnt be bad either instead of a 35 yr old Lavell Edwards on the sideline...
dissapointed | 9:19 a.m. Oct. 23, 2009
I especially enjoy fan comments like "I do not think there is any way BYU will lose this game....this will be a Cougar victory and I promise you that, if not fire Anae and Jamie Hill, get some new DB's and get some speed and a coach with some fire wouldnt be bad either instead of a 35 yr old Lavell Edwards on the sideline." We should be true blue instead of fans who would eat their own young at the first sign of trouble.
Not scared! | 9:27 a.m. Oct. 23, 2009
DennyG,

If only this were a track meet. But then we would put BYU's track team out there. Speed has only won 3 of your last 11 versus BYU in football.

Big game and pathetic TV coverage.....when will they ever fix the fiasco they caused.....?(Universities???)

Dang, what a negative bunch commenting today. Here is some tissue.
TCU | 9:57 a.m. Oct. 23, 2009
may be a better team, but we all know the better team does not always win.

The team that wins tomorrow will play better than its opponent in enough phases of the game to score more points than the other. Players will win the game. Abstractions like speed and size only matter if real players are fast and tough on game day.

TCU struggles in Provo. They beat a very average BYU team by 1 point in overtime here. And that was TCU's best team since they entered the conference.

re dissapointed | 10:46 a.m. Oct. 23, 2009
GIVE ME A BREAK about the true blue garbage I am so sick of hearing that from BYU fans, I am a BYU fan but want more for yourself and BYU football instead of average seasons every year. Any yes 10-2 and 9-3 are average seasons for BYU who is a lot better than that every year. There is a difference between a College football fan for a team and a ignorant fan with no expectation besides being loyal to the school he graduated from, so talk to me when you become a Colleg Football fan.
Going to be fun | 11:17 a.m. Oct. 23, 2009
watching Utah fans melt down this weekend after Air Force beats them and BYU beats TCU. Can't wait to torment little bro.

BYU Iin Tucson | 3:04 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
This game is simple. BYU on their best day can only score 24 points on this TCU defence. Unless TCU turns the ball over 3 times, then BYU could score 31 or 35 points. SDSU scored 28 on BYU. If BYU defence plays great TCU will score 17 to 21 points. If they don't and TCU runs back a kickoff or punt and BYU turns the ball over 2 times then TCU could score as high as 40 points. So if the good BYU team shows up they win 21 to 17. If the bad Cougars are out TCU wins 38 to 17. BYU fans need to stand up and screem the entire game. The defence needs to create confusion and be in the right place, they are going to need some schemes and big hits. If they can get close to Dalton. Close won't be good enough.
Utes will lose to AFA | 3:23 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
I can't believe all the Ute fans that offer their 2 cents on articles about BYU football. It shows what their true motivation is and, unfortunately, it really isn't the Utah football program. After this weekend, there will be one undisputed leader in the MWC football race and it won't be Utah. They will finally be exposed by the Academy and BYU will din the Horned Frogs.
Little Jimmy Brady | 4:51 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
The Frogs will wipe up the field no way can BYU beat the Frogs.
Cougarfan | 5:59 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
I think if BYU tackles well, they will win the game. Let's hope that the Defense steps it up.
Cougarfan | 6:02 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
If the BYU Defense can tackle well, BYU should win the game. Let's hope the D shows up!
Y Grad / Y Dad | 7:14 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
I said it before, I'll say it again. TCU looks decent on the road this year, not great. I'm banking on a focused, disciplined cougar team playing like they did against OU and coming up with a win going away.

Go COUGARS!!!
The Home Field | 7:48 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
will determine the outcome of the game.

The field can not be in good shape after the previous 3 home games.

All 3 previous home games were a comedy of people slip-slidin' all over the field and losing their footing every time they cut.

The game will be won by whichever team can just outpower and outmuscle the other team.

Speed ..... not so much a factor on the awful field at LES.
Ron | 11:20 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
TCU Who? Virginia and Clemson have both loosing seasons this year. Oh yes they beat Texas state a div. 2 team. BYU will get here done tomorrow, and be in the drivers seat for the MWC championship. Hey the Las Vegas is a great place to showcase your talents-BYU doesn't mine being there, and all our fans love it being so close.
FSU | 1:21 a.m. Oct. 24, 2009
I love how FSU comes up on every article about BYU. Comparing TCU to FSU is like comparing the San Antonio Spurs to the Phoenix Suns, there just isn't one. Goes to show that Ute fans are just as uneducated about football as most BYU fans. I'm sure Bronco would tell you that if you asked him.
DennyG | 7:17 a.m. Oct. 24, 2009
Speed is everything.
It gets quarterbacks out of the pocket.
It allows receivers to get open.
It makes sacks.
Lumbering, slow, methodical football went away years ago. Speed is always the edge. It's the uninformed that don't recognize it.
Why do you think that College and Professional scouting puts so much emphasis on it?
Frogs on a dry field, Bougers on a wet one.
