Can't wait to see the Utes in HD this weekend on Versus. Good luck guys and take it to the Falcons! Utah v Air Force is always exciting.
With the entire Ute nation obsessed with the happenings in Provo, it wouldn't be a bit surprising to see the Falcons steal a win in SLC.
Don't flatter yourself. I couldn't care less about what happens in Provo. Provo is...well...Provo and I'm grateful I don't live there. Point is, the entire Ute isn't obsessed with "the happenings in Provo" as you claim.
My Utes and their fans are focused on the task at hand. The MUSS will be ROCKN' on Saturday!
GO UTAH!!!!!!!!
What is happening in Provo that would distract the Utes? i have not heard coach Whit or any player say anything about Provo dating clear back to last November.
distraction?? Utes will be in the shower by the time TCU/Y kickoff. The only distraction will be whether the Utes eat dinner or watch the Frogs thumping of the Cats.
I believe Utah was the first school in the non- BCS or MWC for that matter to have the college gameday crew @ their campus..(2004) .. the Utes are the best
I heard the MUSS was planning to crash Game Day instead of going to the Air Force game.
Provo is a dump. No self-respecting Utah fan spends any time in Dullsville except to pass through while headed south on 1-15.
Grow up.
GO UTES!!!
GO MUSS!!!
LET'S GET IT DONE TOMORROW!!!
It amazes me how many BYU supporters use this forum to disparage the Utes and irritate Ute fans. Have they nothing better to do? The word that comes to mind is "puerile".
Many schools talk about the challenges they have recruiting athletes. Notre Dame fans cry about how their academic standards are so high. BYU fans constantly bring up how their recruiting pool is so narrow and they have a restrictive honor code. Those things may be true, but no one has more challenges putting a good team on the field than the service academies. Air Force has been putting a solid team on the field for a long time despite their challenges.
I respect them for the team they put on the field and the service they give our country.
With that said, my Utes are going to beat them.
I'm pretty sure the Utah team is focused on the game, not what's going on in Provo. They'll probably watch the game or at least know about it since it affects the MWC race, but it's sheer stupidity to say that the team would be affected in any way by the TCU/BYU hype.
The fans are a different story, but fans can lose their focus all they want without affecting the outcome of the game as long as they show up to support their team.
I promise the MUSS won't be missing the AF/Utah game to crash the gameday set. There will probably be a few wannabe Yewts who show up to the set, but anyone who misses the Utah game to wear Ute gear at the gameday set is a BYU-Hater, not a Ute fan. There's a difference.
I'm tired of hearing about '04.
Live in the now, Ute fans.
Truth hurts but most of college sport fans are wrapped up in the happenings of Provo tomorrow.
Fact is more people comment on BYU football articles. More to be said. Better team. More sportsmanship from Y fans.
Air Force is a good team. They WILL win.
Enough said!!!
Now take your post and switch out BYU for Utah and Cougars for Utes and you will know how we feel.
GO COUGARS!!!!!
Hey, Ute fans shouldn't be putting down ESPN's Game Day event tomorrow in Provo! It is a pretty big deal and brings additional recognition to our conference. I'm going to go to it (wearing plain street clothes) just in case...well...you never know who will win these gosh darn games. So I just want to be ready, you know, and have all my bases covered. No offense to any school, of course.
speaking of living in the past
Apparently you do not read the articles about BYU. The majority of the comments are people claiming to be Utah fans and belittling BYU. Poor sportsmanship and is what it is.
It's interesting that you chose only to call out BYU fans, when, in fact, the very behavior you abhore is much more prevalent coming from Utah fans (see ProvoFan | 9:15 a.m.); some might call that the "pot calling the kettle black," in a word: "hypocrisy."
Utah will only have one loss this year. Hows that for a rebuilding team?
Really so you must realize how muc more tiring it is to keep hearing about an even less warranted achievement 20 years earlier than 2004.
