I, for one, feel like you do Scott. This is a nice gesture by ESPN. Yes, alot of this may be for TCU. In any respect,ESPN is stepping out of their way to hold the door, so to speak, for the MWC that shut them out by aligning themselves with THE MOUNTAIN. Let's show how classy of an act we are here in the MOUNTAIN WEST. Thank you ESPN, BYU and TCU for your good work!

Wanna get on a BYU fan's nerves?

Post on this article without being a BYU fan.

They feel some kind of entitlement to post on their team's articles, and find it OFFENSIVE when others put in their own two cents.

BYU-TCU is not the only matchup between ranked teams. Oklahoma plays at Kansas tomorrow.
AP poll | 8:10 a.m. Oct. 23, 2009
BYU-TCU is not this week's only matchup between ranked opponents. Oklahoma plays against Kansas (two teams which would compete well versus BYU or TCU in the postseason if the MWC winner wasn't obligated to play a 6-6 PAC10 team).

They should call the BYU/Utah game the "6 A Championship game." Until the Y stops loading their team up with Timpview and Wasatch players, the game has all the makings of a high school 6 A game.
re: check the polls and AP poll | 9:03 a.m. Oct. 23, 2009
Since Oklahoma's only ranked in the AP poll, they don't really count as "ranked" anymore. Especially now that the BCS standings are out. They're not even ranked in the Coaches' poll. That's probably why he didn't count OK as ranked. Just sayin...

The cost of cable is not worth it. Even with all of the sports moving over. Sure tell me I'm not a true fan. I just know that $$$$ for 2-3 channels is not a good deal to get suckered into.

Usually I agree with your opinion Scott. However, in this instance, I think you are partially wrong. ESPN does have a vested interest in the game, since both teams will probably end up in bowl games televised by ESPN. Their coming to Provo is not so much an interest in MWC football, as it is self-promotion - again. I am torn between excitement for Gameday coming to BYU and disgust over their lack of coverage of BYU because the MWC chose to be broadcast on other networks, which you have chronicled in previous articles. The Gameday hype is an additional distraction that this BYU team does not need. There are enough distractions with Homecoming and the national implications of the game. Go Cougars!!

No, TCU desereves the credit for the ESPN visit. If TCU wasn't a BCS hopeful, they would not even bother highlighting this game. This is one of only two hurdles left in the way of TCU running the table. That's why ESPN cares.

Yes your comments are offensive and your opinion is exactly that, worth 2 cents.

Go Utes!

I love it when non-cougar fans post on cougar sites it means I know they are reading when I slam them. The only contest that is in question is who are more annoying ute fans or horned frog fans, Ok ute fans win by a landslide.

TCU is the draw. However, if BYU were not ranked #16, Game Day would not be coming. The main attraction is TCU, but if BYU had lost to OU and FSU and was out of the rankings, no way ESPN shows up in Provo on Saturday.
re: Wrong | 3:38 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
No, you're wrong. If that was the case, why wouldn't they cover every TCU game?
BYU/TCU. 2 ranked teams. Paired against each other, provides the game of the week.
Sorry, they don't care about the Utes this year.
I'm not saying they're gushing over the Y either, but your obvious bias against the Y makes your comments completely worthless.
RE: Utah Offense | 3:50 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
No, frankly you miss the entire point. Which, actually, goes directly to the heart of the issue and why, yes, your posts are either: (Here, I'll make it multiple choice to help you figure it out.)

A. Off topic

B. Stupid

C. Tastless and/or classless

D. Juvenile

E. All of the Above

Correct answer: E. All of the above.

Therefore, the yewt fan posts are undesireable.

Change the above to "None of the Above", and almost all Cougar fans would welcome your analysis and take on the article.

Enough said. Hope that helps you understand the answer to your unwritten question and insinuation contained within the statement.

Way to get on BYU's nerves that must have taken you a long time to come up with. Did your 3rd grade teacher even help you. Props where they are due.
Wonderful Ones | 4:41 p.m. Oct. 23, 2009
Make a run on the variety stores for frames you "Wonderful Y peeps". Make sure you frame the #16 ranking because you are about to be removed for a long, long time after your humiliating defeat saturday.

I am so thankful that BYU has Bronco, and that the coug are No. 16, and about ready to jump up after tomorrow's victory over unbeaten team TCU. TCU has wins over Virg. and Clemson-both have loosing seasons, and yes they did beat Texas state a div. 2 team, Say Who? Cougars beat them good, don't let Coach Patterson get in your heads, He is a great mind players for opposing teams. But Coach Mendenhall is a honest and sincere coach, that says alot for BYU. BYU wins 31-TCU 17 Go. Cougs.
Ute fans | 1:31 a.m. Oct. 24, 2009
Want to get on a Ute fans nervs... slam their team on the BYU message boards, they'll never see it if you post on the Utah boards.

Utah gets run over by Air Force this weekend and Robert Johnson won't be able to do a thing about it. Can't catch interceptions when the other team doesn't throw the ball. Here comes the beginning of the end for the Utes season.
