Beetles are vital to nature the earth and even agriculture. you are making a mistake by killing them off completely as man does so opt and oftly.
....because Edward the Anonymous Internet Expert knows more than the biologists from the Utah Dept of Agriculture does. Uh huh. Sure thing. Yeppers.
Those beetles are a pest. They're like revenge of World War II.
How wonderful that a small city like Orem can do something that the rest of the world is incapable of doing in such a small amount of time?
Orem Rocks!
If these traps work that good we should put a couple thousand of them in Washington D.C. to catch politicians so we the people can exterminate them!
Edward, if you knew anything about these beetles your tune would be different. They are invasive, exotic species that have ruined trees, farmlands, and more in the east. Orem has done a wonderful thing by being so proactive. These are undesired pests that are NOT native here. They do not belong in Orem, Utah, or the US as a whole.
Do you have any fundamental understanding of how ecosystems work? What part of 'Japanese' beetle did you not understand?
If it was the "Orem beetle" you would have a point.
What spray was used?
Milky Spore can be added to your lawn and the grubs will die. No spraying needed. The spore spreads over time for long term control.
