i loved the movie, just got back from the theather, im excited for sequals and thinking about picking up the books because i just cant wait, i think critics were too harsh about the directors not being able to decide what catagory the movie fits into, comedy or horror, it's a pg 13 type and i think even in my own worst life and death situations i have cracked a joke. i think it showed about as real as you can get if we found a world such as this one. i loved the dark side and was glad there was some comedy...exmpl: loved the comic but grotesque ending to last house on the left but it was much too offensive. the new sam ramie movie..awesome...but needed a little more comedy like in army of darkness and evil dead's. Vampires Assistant hit it right on the nail for my liking. take if from the person who pays you to continue working and not the critic, the people want more!
Oh and all characters were amazing adapting to their opposite of normal roles. very proud!

I can't believe they took my favorite book and squashed it making it funny, the whole series is dark and strange, this is just not right!

These film reviews remind me of that Visit Las vegas commercial that shows the guy hating his job as a Vegas show critic

I liked this film. Go see it and make up your own mind. Unfortunately the critics are being to hard on this one.

This movie didn't totally suck. It was actually entertaining but I agree with Jeff, it really didn't know what kind of movie it wanted to be.

Steve (Josh Hutcherson) challenges Gavner Purl (Willem Dafoe) and Crepsley (John C. Reilly) in "Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant." The fantasy-adventure tries to be too many things.
