I can see the smoke from my house about 4 miles away - still billowing up, filling the west side of the valley. Explosion makes you think it might be a meth lab or something like that.

SandiH

The house directly behind our house in California blew up, right off of it's foundations, doors & window frames were all the way across the road in a hay field. It was Sunday Morning, the family was out of juice so the whole family went to the local market, even taking their dog with them, something which they had never, ever, done before. It saved all of their lives. There was not much left that was worth saving. Photo's & curtains were out in the field, so we kids picked up all we could find for them. They were so very lucky, but I have to say, our first thoughts were we were being bombed, this was during the Korean War, so for a fleeting moment, that's what we thought. Instead, it was a natural gas leak. The gas co. worked like crazy to stop it from going on down the row of houses. It was touch & go for a while. It was just their lucky day, regardless of their loss, property & momento's. Wonder if that's what happened in Logan, a gas leak. Logan Utah is my dads old home town. He's a Petersen.

howdy

No meth lab... propane leak, my friends house, I grew up next to him.. he was the one airlifted. Probably his parents to.. just got home from their mission!

I hope everyone is well. Most of these explosions are from natural gas.

STB

I hope they can make it through a quick recovery.

Scary that it was inspected and cleared the day before when someone smelled the gas. That's not good for whoever inspected it!

wow

What struck me about this story is the brave men who went in after the initial explosion and probably saved the lives of the brother and sister before the second explosion. What if they had waited for emergency equipment and on duty personnel? They are the heroes of the day!

Yah imagine the bills from the healthcare system when something like this happens...

If the accident doesnt kill you, the medical bills will!

Sad...Greed of American Health Industry

Wow.....

My prayers are with the family for a speedy recovery. A friend of mine lost his whole family from this type of accident, a few years ago in Summitt County. Makes me nervous about propane tanks.

California

Hooray for the hero's. Good luck to all of them.

I know Tony. He's a good guy. He works with my room mate. I can't believe this happened today. Our prayers are with you here.

Please pray for him. This is a great chance for people of every religious background to join together in prayer.

Recommmend a good

attorney first and then pray-- you can't eat a prayer and they are gonna need the bucks.....

Dennis

Very lucky people.
By the way, what does prayer have to do with any of this. sheesshhh.

Hmmmm

Dennis, even if you don't believe in God, just Google something like "the role of religion in health" and you'll get an answer to your question.

Wrong Caption

Oops!

Pic "3" of 19, shows a copy of "The Improvement Era", an LDS Church periodical (~1866 - ~1970), not the Bible as written.

You can read the page footer.

Wow!

What pictures.

Propane.,..

Read the aritcle. It was caused by a PROPANE leak, not natural gas.
