And the photos look great. What a difference! I'm so glad they used low-water native plantings. Congratulations on a job well done.
...Is this a nursery, or what is it? I have never heard of it before. What do they do there, and where is this place located?
Wonder who paid for this... it's easily 100K worth of landscaping etc. SLC obviously doesn't have the funds right now, were there any partners involved or was this just one man's dream?
Anonymous; I doubt there is 100k in landscaping. This project was a partnership. The Greater Avenues Community Council donated $15,000 toward the project and it's in all of Salt Lake City's interest to conserve water. The only way that will happen is by "show and tell". That's how we do things here in the Capitol city.
This is the area of the city that the people keep their credit cards hot & the bankruptcy courts busy & we all suffer for their very poor management & their trying to out do others. Thank you.
Baumgardner- apparently you have a chip on your shoulder for Avenue's residents. Let's see your research about everyone's financial situation and the demographic of this area. I'm sorry you need to lash out against people you don't even know to make that chip a little lighter. Good luck on that.
