I think your title is offensive. "Alleged" is an odd choice of words. Do you something against this man?

agree with you fred

yeah really, what a bad title and poorly written article!

I have to agree with Fred. "Alleged" has a nearly criminal sound rather than expressing the paper's uncertainty and lack of research into his status in the art community. The Tribune refers to him as a "famed Utah artist." Is that too congratulatory?

All you needed to do was google the name to see if this person was or wasn't an artist. Was this a case of laziness, ignorance or a bone to pick with the victim?

"Reportedly" well-known? Doug Snow was the artist for the Salt Lake City Library on 500 South--now the Leonardo. His immense artwork graced the two-story walls of that building during its somewhat brief life as the library. I remember studying it every time I rode the escalator as a kid. He also has art installed in the Matheson Court House. The writer is obviously too young to remember, or is new to Utah. Do your homework!

If someone named Will Smith died, how would you know whether it was the actor/comedian compared to another Will Smith? V. Douglas Snow isn't a very usual name, but how would the writer know?
