Good game from both teams. Lehi fought hard, and came so very, very close. Nothing to hang your heads about- though. You had a great season with a tough ending. We will miss our seniors- you rock!

It should have been East.

Thank you UHSAA for ruining the season of an undefeated, talented group of girls.
Pioneer Fan | 3:07 p.m. Oct. 21, 2009
Briar and Tasha just rock! You were tough! Good fight and great season girls. Fun to see Lehi break through to the semis! Maybe someday the coach will become a magician of offensive play not just defense! Maybe next year Pioneers!

Go T-Wolves!
lakers | 4:22 p.m. Oct. 21, 2009
way to go blame it on the official, Lehi palyed a dirty game and you know what the say "carma comes back to bite you" well they got bit. GREAT GAME LAKERS
re:unjust | 5:06 p.m. Oct. 21, 2009
C'mon...give us a break. UHSAA did not lose the game...after a well-played match, East lost to Bonneville...it was not lost by UHSAA, not lost by officiating, not lost by coin-toss.

I gotta say, "Briar" is the greatest name ever for a Keeper.
Re: Lakers | 5:53 p.m. Oct. 21, 2009
Who blamed anything on the official? It was actually a fairly officiated game. Lehi plays tough and physical just like any good team does. Get used to it- Timp is also very physical. They will give you fits with their two strikers. It will definately come down to who is tougher and finishes their opportunities.

If you take a look at all the teams that made it to the finals in both 4A and 5A- they all had strikers with 20+ goals except Lehi. They were all the leading scorers in thier classifcations. Davis has Katie Taylor, Alta has Ohai, Timpanogos has Nimmer and Dickson, Bonneville has Thornock. It's a natural ability they have to finish, and have composure when in front of the goal. Lehi had several girls who could score, but none as natural as the before mentioned girls. They did awesome though, and we will fear them again next year.
Re: Lakers | 6:36 p.m. Oct. 21, 2009
I have to say i dont recall anyone blaming the officials. So i dont know where you go that from. But dirty? I would just call that good physical play. I could tell you have never played a good physical team...you were dropping like flies.

oh and PS. its "Karma"
Re:Laker Fan | 7:17 p.m. Oct. 21, 2009
Oh Yeah Briar is a great name if you want to be named after a thorny bush! Yeah real great name.

RE: Lakers | 12:48 p.m. Oct. 22, 2009
I apologize my comment was in response to the comment (UNJUST) I do agree however, that the Lehi Bonneville game was a very well played very well, into your response of bonneville dropping like flies, Lehi played a somewhat dirty game when taking cheap shots after the ball was played.. And I did see many warnings that should have ended up as a card
re: re: unjust  | 2:37 p.m. Oct. 22, 2009
yeah, that says back-to-back. No one (but east) will even remember the quarter final game...
T-Wolves | 3:35 p.m. Oct. 22, 2009

Re; Pioneer Fan | 5:57 p.m. Oct. 22, 2009
If you were a true Pioneer fan you would support the team entirely. About the coach not being an offensive magician. It seems that the Pioneers outscored 15 out of 19 of their opponents this year. If the goalie hadn't dropped the uncontested ball in against Bonneville Lehi scored just as many goals as Bonneville did, one, while shutting down one of the most powerful offenses in the state. Give Lehi a Gel Dickson, Marissa Nimmer, or a Jaiden Thornock who are natural goal scorers and you would see offensive magic. If you have watched the same games as I have getting scoring opportunities isn't the problem for the Pioneers. The problem is nobody on the team is a natural goal scorer. Even with that Lehi is an amazing team and wins a lot of games. Congratulations on a great season!

time to make timberwolves an extinct species :)
go lakers!!!
