Here's what is really funny: He fled because he was afraid he would be given longer time. Under the law at the time, based on the charge he pled guilty to, at most, he would have gotten an additional 55 days - less than 2 months. Plus, he could have appealed that and probably walked away free and clear having served no additional time.
Instead, he turned chicken and ran away. He will probably end up spending more time in the Swiss jail than he would have ended up serving if he had just manned up.
Considering the severe injustice of the length of his initial sentence - and the injustice that still would have been there if he had served the longer sentence - it is really funny that by fleeing he is facing more realistic justice!
Color me one liberal who is laughing my head off! He so deserves this and more!
