I do hope these are taxpayer-funded courses!
Great, chasing after something that doesn't exist. Or as the class should be called, “Looking for something that you will not find, but you’ll make yourself believe it”
The participants do pay a fee for this class as anyone would for any Granite Peaks class.
I believe that ghosts are out there. Many people I know has a had some type of personal experience. Just because you haven't seen one or heard something out of the norm VOR that doesn't mean you have to be so critical.
These are not funded by tax payers. The school district teaches dozens of community courses. When you sign up, you pay for them. The instructors may or may not be Granite school district employees. I take courses through the SLC school district all the time. It's just a little bit of fun.
The quote about the Magna Cemetery was stated by Karma Erickson, not Young.
Have you looked at the community education flyer. Just from memory we got cake decorating, scrapbooking, red hat parties, martial arts, how to buy a house, ect... my point is that there are all kinds of classes offered that could be considered silly by some.
Something for everyone, if there is no interest then I guess they do not offer the classes again.
My guess is that neither "please oh please" or "VOR" get out alot, just want to grump about others having fun.
The classes are offered at schools in most cases which allows more use from the tax paid facilities.
there is a charge for most classes.
An excellent use of tax payer's money. Right ...
I think it would be fascinating and I would love to take a class.
Very cool article, I wish they had something like this in Davis County.
not anymore of a waste then publicly funded golf courses, senior centers, and swimming pools.
Thanks for the article one thing it is R-o-g-e-r-s but still pretty awesome Thank you :-)
This is a great source of income for the school district. These classes are paid for by the individual students and bring IN money, not using the taxpayers money. What a great way to find revenue for our state. And a lot of fun too.
If you go looking for something, you'll find it. If you invite spirits into your life, they'll come.
I took the class that was held on Tuesdays at Taylorsville High and loved it. Caught some facinating EVP's. In regards to this article.. near the end of the article where the group visited the Magna Cemetary... the "Todd's" up there are my grandparents! Wow... also there are 4 babies buried behind them.
I've photographed many graveyards. I don't see cemeteries as recreation centers. I'm atheist. I do feel the necessity to show respect to the beliefs of others by showing decorum in cemeteries.
Just finished taking this class. The class was alot of fun and very interesting. Turned out to be a great father daughter event. Had a few orbs that showed up in a couple of photo's I took. Probably dust. Do I think there are ghosts, not enough hard facts to support this belief at this time. Additionally, walking up and down the City Cemetery was real good exercise.
Whats the story behind Emo's grave in the SL cemetary?
