I'm a BYU fan, but honestly: why should anyone expect him to have a take on the game? He's got his own team to worry about....

TCU wins and jumps the pretenders from Boise Trade Tech. The Trade Tech got lucky once, but top programs can't afford another embarassment from the WAC (Hawaii)in the BCS.

This is a "little insight?" Did you honestly have to write an article just to say two sentences a coach said? Wow! I think every coach who has ever lived says this about every game.

He shouldn't care because Utah will actually beat them if they prepare right. Taking it one game at a time is what winning is all about. An he knows that the national publicity is all about TCU anyways. BYU is just the opponent on the other side of the turf.

As a BYU fan, I recognize that Coach Whit has a lot of insight into the BYU/TCU game but he's wise enough to keep it to himself.

I just hope that Utah runs the table until 28 November, as does BYU. That will ensure that the BYU-Utah winner (BYU) will be conference champ and Coach Patterson can go back to Texas knowing that the road to the MWC championship runs through the state of Utah. Go COUGS!

Sure, BYU is just the opponent.

ESPN Game Day always features a top team against a punchless opponent... that's always great for ratings.

The BYU haters who blog here are so clueless it's sad.

ESPN chose this game because of BOTH teams, TWO Top 16 teams and the best TWO teams this season in the best non-AQ conference, the MWC.

ESPN has already demonstrated their respect for BYU this season by including the Cougars in their made for television matchup with the Sooners for the first college football game played in Cowboys Stadium.

I'm not a Ute fan, but in fairness Whittingham is just being smart. He still has to play both teams on the road this season and he doesn't want to provide any bulletin-board material for the TCU and BYU coaches.

That's why every college coach aside from Lane Kiffin speaks in flattering tones about his opponent: You don't stir up a hornet's nest if you don't have to.

the article was titled " Whit has little insight" not "Whit has A little insight." It implys he DIDN't say much, so it is correct. Thanks for reading.

TCU beats BYU on National Television, bringing respect to the conference. BSU jumps up and down about not being in the NC, and still loses their bowl game. Utah loses to TCU who goes undefeated, but beats BYU in a close battle at LES to take 2nd in the conference, then wins another bowl game (although hardly prestigious).

You heard it here first.

ESPN will be there for TCU. We saw what BYU does on national TV when they played FSU. Again, thanks for setting the conference back about 5 years.
