Comments about ‘High school volleyball: Top 20’

Thank you for recognizing that 1A schools are pretty good. Congratulations to Panguitch, Piute, and Rich on there great showing at the Sevier Valley tournament. The only 1A teams in the tournament and they were all in the gold metal bracket at the end.

These rankings are nice recognition but I don't believe they reflect the top 20 programs. Watch the results from these big tournaments and you will see how good some of these smaller programs are when compared to the the majority of the 4A programs. For example, having Dixie at #20 is ridiculous. They are much better than most of the schools in the top 20.

YOU NEVER GIVE LAYTON CHRISTIAN HS THE CREDIT THEY ARE DUE. THEY BEAT ALL THE SCHOOL EXCEPT ALTAMONT. AND NOTHING SAID. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. RELIGIN SHOULD NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DUE WITH THE GAME.PLEASE PRINT SOMETHING ABOUT LAYTON CHRISTIAN AND THE TEAM WINNERS, JASMINE PORTER FOR ONE. WAS SHE MVP? PLEASE RESPOND.

Dixie may be better then some but certainly not Hurricane, who beat them in 4 at Dixie a few weeks ago and they are more then deserving of a top 20 as they have beaten 5 teams on there this season.

Layton Christian, Judge and Juan Diego should play up a division since they stack their teams and offer scholarships to get good athletes.

Riverton? Did I miss something? Getting better and better in each game and will finish strong and ready to make noise in the State Tourney!

Wow religion has NOTHING to do with it!! That is ridiculous!

excited for state to see who who turns up on top and gets the job done and don't just talk and possibly gets crushed first round!

In the end state is all that really matters not these rankings. . . State is going to be incredible! I'm excited!

Please don't justify Layton Christian for not being ranked because of religion. It's like saying if you don't agree with President Obama, then you're a racist. Deseret News does a great job reporting high school athletics, and I'm sure your school will eventually get its due exposure.

Top report missing something pretty bad when it lists Layton as low as they are.

Richfield sure didn't look like a top 20 team last weekend @ the SVC tourney. They have the potential but they need to bring it to the table every game. Step it up and play every game like you're on a mission...a mission to repeat as State Champs!! You can do it

Where are the South Sevier Lady Rams in these rankings? As the top 2A school they could take down most teams that are in front of them, especially Richfield.

Did you happen to see where S. Sev. ended up at the Richfield tournament? It was behind Grand and at least 10 other schools.

These are the top 20 teams in the state not top 20 in 2A or maybe, just maybe SS would be in the top 20.

We'll be there at the end. The Region makes NO difference in State, and the Silverwolfs will come out of Region III to pound Bingham and all the rest. We ARE the ones!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't Riverton in the SAME region as Bingham? How can you come out of Region 3 to pound Bingham when you play them in region, and have already lost once 3-0?
