Region 7 all the way! Lehi with the AMAZING defense and Timpanogos with the Super-star scorers. They will both do great, and the games on Tuesday will be very close for both. Good luck to both teams- it's time for Region 7 to win it all!

This Tuesday's match will be a classic confrontation between great speed and scoring capability up front for Bonneville, and a tenacious defense by Lehi. Look for this one to be won by a short margin. However, I don't think Lehi has faced such a tough and quick forward line in Thornock and Shaw. I believe the Lakers will triumph in a close scoring match.

One thing to remember about the East game last week, is that East played 90% of the game a player down. I hope that the officials keep in mind that the players should determine who wins. Bonneville is a good team and can beat anyone in the state.

The East player was the one who was beat and had to resort to grabbing the laker forward. What game where you watching?

So proud of the three teams from Utah County going into the semi-finals! All three are great teams with great soccer players! I predict the battle for the 4A state title will be between two of these teams! Go Pioneers, Go Red Devils and Go T-Wolves!
You'd never know it "Not Equal" | 12:51 p.m. Oct. 19, 2009
You'd never have know East was down a player as they were tough competitors! Let's also not forget that East commited a play by their goalie that warrented a Red card. Bonneville didn't punish East. East punished itself by making such a play. So if you want to say that the match wasn't equal I guess that's your opinion. Bonneville possesed the ball a good amount of the game and played their guts out till the last minute of play. Also, refs gave out cards on both sides. Bonneville is a great team. Thank you for saying that.

Ps. Lets not continue to make this blog about East as it is in the past now.

Lehi has an outstanding defense, and has played powerful forwards before (Timpanogos)Im sure our girls can handle them. Go Lehi!!

With all due respect to East, that is a great team that deserves much credit; both the photographer from SL Trib and I have a picture of Bonneville's 1-0 goal. There were seven players around the goal - 8 including the GK. I don't think anyone could have stopped that goal. It had nothing to do with playing down a player - it was just a good, well-placed shot from a good, well-placed corner kick.
Analysis  | 7:15 p.m. Oct. 19, 2009
Bonneville has a great team. Their back four is possibly the best in state, midfield has blazing speed and can control the game. The forwards have off-the-chart-speed. However, seeing them play East at home, and seeing them struggle when East was a man down is worrisome. If Lehi is to win, they must first win the midfield battle, no easy task. Second, you have to attack the middle of Bonneville's defense to be successful. While the Laker defense may be talented and work well as a unit, they don't have lots of speed in their back four. Thrid, speed kills. Lehi can't let Thornock, Shaw, and Avery run hog wild. This Bonneville team is great, they can beat you as a team, they can beat you with individual efforts, they make you pay for mistakes. If Lehi keeps the mistakes to a minimum, and plays great "d" they have a shot to win this match. Having not seen Lehi play this season I can't make a prediction for the game. Good luck to both teams.

I agree with most of what you are saying except for the fact that their back four is 'possibly' the best in the state. Lehis defense IS the best! They are the best in 4A and second only to Alta in the state. and this is a fact not an opinion.
