Please, Please... | 4:42 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
show the game on ESPN!
Wow! | 4:43 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
The biggest game of the week is in the MWC, and nobody will be able to watch it.

I hope that SDSU, Wyoming, CSU, and UNLV are getting their money's worth out of losing every week on the Mountain.
Grrreat! | 4:46 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Directv subscribers will be able to watch College Gameday from Provo, but not the actual game. That is just great.

Ok, who is going to bring the Washington State Flag?
UH-OH | 5:08 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
It's the College Gameday curse.

It's just like appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

We will lose now.

Thanks a lot ESPN, you really have it out for us.
Good for MWC | 5:17 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I am glad ESPN is interested when the two best MWC teams are playing each other.
Anonymous | 5:18 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY PLEASE PUT THIS GAME ON ESPN OR ABC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anonymous | 5:21 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
THIS WILL BE SWEET!
ha ha ha  | 5:24 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Cougs will lay another egg w/ some national attention.
LouisD | 5:29 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
DIRECT-TV subscribers are clearly not aware of the fact that over 252 million homes nationwide get their TV via cable and VERSUS on about 80% of those cable packages (200 million subscribers) and another 11 million watch via OTHER satellite providers like the DISH Network. The notion that YOU won't be able to see the game is really a reflection of your subscriber choices and shows a rather narrow understanding of the VERSUS footprint. For MOST all other providers, Versus is available virtually everywhere else nation-wide.
Ute fan | 5:29 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I think all ute fans should show up.
Re: UH-OH | 5:31 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Already making excuses for the Cougars losing. That's funny. I seem to remember the last time ESPN Gameday came to Utah was in 2004 at Utah for the BYU game, and I think that turned out OK for the Utes. No lame excuses, just go play football.
Boycott! | 5:33 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I thought MWC fans, and especially BYU fans, hate the guys on College Game Day. I think it should be boycotted to show that we won't be exploited by "The Man" of college football when there is little attention given every other Saturday of the college football season.
Anonymous | 5:33 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
They will put it on ESPN or ABC trust me! They would not put a game on where half the nation could not watch it. Go FROGS!!!!
Gameday  | 5:34 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Better not see any BYU students strutting around in body paint without shirts on.

Wouldn't be prudent.
Anonymous | 5:42 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
SWEETNESS!!! Everybody get there!
Harold | 5:44 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
When Gameday comes to town BYU loses.
Sweet | 5:54 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Everyone is complaining about the TV deal, but where is the excitement for Gameday's first visit to Provo?! I'm stoked! I will be there, with my sign ready, and my loudest horn possible! This is awesome! Be at the stadium at 7 am, for some awesome college football broadcasting!
I hate VERSUS | 5:57 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Period.

WSU, ha ha ya I want to see who is bringing that flag everytime! Cant wait for saturday!
Great | 6:02 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I can watch the pregame, but not the Game. Get over it Directv, give me versus back.
Anonymous | 6:04 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
For the love of 2009 the mtn doesn't even broadcast in hd and directv viewers can't get versus. We are in the stone age around here. What can we do to protest
Davis Hepworth | 6:08 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I have to admit i am not a fan of BYU but this game is a good for the conference as a whole. I am expecting a close quarters game, but BYU is going to have to step it up a notch.
Anonymous | 6:33 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I am an upset Direct TV subscriber. As soon as my contract is up I will be with someone else.

I watched the BYU v Fl game on line at justin.tv....better than nothin.
COUGS BABY | 6:36 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
IMA DRINK SOME ROOT BEER ON TV!!!! YEAAHH BABBBY BRING IT
re: Ute fan  | 6:53 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
"I think all ute fans should show up."

What, jealous that the Utes' limelight has already faded to black?

A made for television BYU matchup with Oklahoma and now Game Day coming to Provo.

It's okay, you'll learn to live with mediocrity again; afterall, that's been the history of Utah football for all but two of their 116 years of football.
KC Fan | 6:53 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Love those Utah fans. Barely sneak by UNLV, then show up to talk anti-BYU smack. Ha! You guys are soooooo entertaining.
WSU? | 6:53 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I get it! Someone from Washington State booster club arranges to have a local WSU alumni wave a WSU flag where ever ESPN Game Day goes around the country. I guess this has been going on for 10+ years now.
Wish I could watch it... | 7:04 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I hate that the game is on VS. I have DirectTV which I love but hate that the MWC has their games on VS where we can't watch it....makes me angry
BamaFan | 7:08 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Come on ESPN...You have a huge SEC rival game in Bama v Tenn and you choose to come to Provo, Utah with the College Gameday Set? Most of Utah won't be able to even watch this game. Maybe it would make some sense if you were actually featuring this game on national coverage.
Cali coug | 7:11 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Re ute fan:

We encourage "all ute fans" to show up on the BYU campus for Gameday. We'll even reserve a parking spot for you...since you'll only need a mini-van to transport all of you from SLC to Provo, we'll let you use the Presidents parking spot for the day. Enjoy!!
A Real Ute Fan | 7:20 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
As a Ute Fan I am glad to see that BYU, TCU, and the Mountain West are getting this amount of respect. It will be a great game and I hope it gets picked up on ABC or ESPN. The Gameday Program will have much more meaning if they are covering the game too. A good game here IS what is best for the MWC and the UTES!
Anonymous | 7:22 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Shut up already about tv, you're telling me you don't know anybody with dish or comcast... Get over it... This is about Gameday! I'm stoked and can't wait to be a part of it! If the secondary can show up on saturday it'll be a great game!
Hate the MWC | 7:49 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
The Mtn West Conference has to have the worst marketing people in the world. When Ute fans complain they did not get a shot at a national championship last year, a big share of the blame has to go to the conference that won't let them get TV exposure.
bshelt | 7:51 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Re:KC Fan

Getting by UNLV by 20pts is not sneaking by. Beating SDSU by 10pts is "sneaking by". Get a clue and a glass of milk.
Madden | 7:58 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
This is awesome news, and looking at the rankings is one of the best match-ups of the week. TCU jumps Boise if they win out. BYU shows the OK game is legit if they avoid the defense "FSU" meltdowns, and has a shot at being the 1st 1-loss non-AQ team in the BCS if they win out (if Boise finally trips up against a lesser WAC team).

Cool story line. And honestly, the backdrop of the mountains from LES in Provo looks great on TV too.
Anonymous | 8:18 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
I hate Kirk Herbstreit (and I think most of BYU does too) and can't wait to show it! Bring it College GameDay!
Cougar claws | 8:31 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Let's go Cougs show up for this one. Get those banners ready!!! Go crazy this will be a lot of fun!

Way to go Bronco for bringing the excitement back to football!!!

Beat the FROGS!!

HAHAHAHA you are funny! FYI, Utah's "limelight" is alive and well. Prediction, this will be the last week this season Utah will trail your team in any poll.

Your mediocre team that played the 3-3 Sooners was definately made for television! In the bubble!

Speed kills! Just remember that next Saturday morning as you head to LES for the slaughter.

I'm betting this ESPN Gameday visit will be as entertaining as the last one.... Utah 51 byu 21.

Enjoy your Saturday!
UteFan | 8:47 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Word out of ESPN is they wanted to be at the TCU/Utah game but the TCU crowd in Dallas is always small. Too bad, Utah and TCU will be playing for a BCS bowl birth. cougs get attention and then lose again just like at Florida st.
2nd chances | 8:50 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
BYU gets another chance to make up for the Florida State loss.

By the way, if Hall keeps running without sliding TCU is going to put hiim out of the game. I dont want to see it but I dont want him thinking he is a linebacker.

Lets see if BYU can get up for a big game. Despite the Oklahoma game Florida State was more to what BYU usually does.

You can talk all the smack you want but eventually the game against Utah or TCU is where the truth of the matter is determined.
Are you kidding me? | 8:57 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
College Gameday definitely should go to the game that may determine who gets to play in the Las Vegas bowl against the 5th place PAC-10 team. Not!

At least in 2004 the Utah/BYU game meant something to the nation.
Smack | 9:13 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
This is good news for the conference. But as a Utah fan, I'm having a hard time figuring out who to root for.
Frog fan | 9:18 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
To: Are you kidding me?,

They are coming becuase BYU is good this year, and TCU could be the BCS Buster this year and they know that this game will determine the MTN. West champ this season. They know the Utah Utes are terrible and overrated and will not win the conference championship, so they might as well come to Provo to watch the 2 best teams in the conference beat up on each other! GO FROGS!!!
re: bshelt | 9:22 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Sorry, that's what comes of reading Ute posts. You see, when BYU pasted CSU, but the stats were really close, you all taught us that CSU really one that game, somehow, morally or something like that. Kinda like you did against UNLV.

Seems to me we pretty much clobbered UNLV, but again, somehow, in Ute math, that just doesn't count.

Realistically, I don't give us even odds, but I hold out hope because TCU has been less than impressive on the road, and just maybe the boys in blue can get up for this game.

But, realistically, I honestly think the Utes lose at TCU. And at BYU. And one other.
re: UteFan | 9:22 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
what's a "BCS bowl birth"? Are you an obstetrician?

The Cougars got even more attention for playing Oklahoma, and won, beating one of the biggest names in college football in the Taj Mahal of football stadiums; something Utah fans can only dream about doing this season.

UNLV exposed the Utah offense for what it is this season, mediocre.

It's only wishful thinking that the Utes will be able to hang with TCU and BYU. Any realistic Utah fan can clearly see that Utah's offense has barely been getting it done against weak teams. That won't cut it against Air Force or Wyoming, let alone BYU and TCU.
Cougar fan | 9:42 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Go cougars make something happen in this one your getting national recognition no make something happen out of it.

GO COUGARS
Beat the frogs
Makes Sense | 9:47 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
The only time "GameDay" ever chooses to broadcast MWC, BYU is involved. Once again, showing what team is the class of the conference. Way to be.
Chargerbacker | 9:59 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
Please don't play terrible. The Utes, TCU, BYU, and the all the conference need this opportunity to show that an undefeated from the MWC is much better than a Boise State team who has one big win and then a IIA schedule.
coug fan | 10:02 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009
this is tight but byu really doesnt deserve it. we think they do but we have to lose at least one game a year we dont have it in us to go undefeated
