This is what I am talking about. Kids are kids no matter what and to read this article, well it just made my day. Things like this make the sun shine.
More information please | 11:53 a.m. Oct. 18, 2009
To the reporter who wrote this, and the editor who approved it, how come no contact information? I have a 8 year old in a wheelchair for life, and he would love to be involved. This article is the first we heard about it. How come no phone number or other contact information so we can become involved.
Thanks for reading, and hope you can do a follow up with the information.,

My son Stephen was able to participate in this league through the ASAP program for autistic children. It was the highlight of my week to be able to go to his games. I was sad that it had to come to an end. It just goes to show you how important it is for children of all abilities to be able to participate in sports. It helps them feel more successful and builds up their confidence. What an awesome sight it was for me to see the excitement in these kids faces as they hit the ball. I am grateful to all of those who made it possible for these kids to play.

I was able to attend this game and I was truly impressed and deeply touched by the kindness and sportsmanship that the "Utah Horns" displayed to EVERY player involved! Thank you to the parents and coaches for teaching the importance of diversity and encouraging such goodness and integrity at such a young age! The Cardinals were thrilled to get those hat pins The Utah Horns gave everyone! Thanks for your support!!

Being the father of an autistic son who played in this league, I want to thank all those involved. The youth really enjoyed their time on the field, and this shows the importance of inclusion and acceptance. Kudos to Salt Lake County, West Jordan City, the Utah Horns, CTA ASAP program, and all the youth and their parents/caregivers!

I know most of the coaches and players on the Utah Horns team and can tell you that they are all class, what a great thing to teach their team to be involved in.

Kids in West Jordan Saturday take the field, which is made of specialized rubber so they can safely maneuver their wheelchairs on it.
