Wow... some kids need to get a backbone, this world is goin' eat them up and spit them out.
Only kids that have been shelterd and read mother goose their entire lives.
I don't know--I saw a 3 year old boy walk out with his mom last night howling and laughing, and his 4 year old sister dancing to the kicky soundtrack. And not once did I hear any kids cry out or scream at the "Scary" parts. I only heard one boy whisper "Oh no! Don't eat Max! He's your friend!"
I think that a lot of adults don't give children enough credit.
i saw it today its a great movie and kids under 8 can most definitly watch it if the 4 year old in the theater liked it as much as they did
Yeah, forget about scary-how about dumb and boring? My kids didn't like it at all and I hated every minute of it. It seemed so long, and random. Never really got the point of it- I would not recommend it.
So, if any parent out there takes their advice from a newspaper forum, then that is the really scary part. See it for yourself, then decide if it's OK for your own children. I have two kids, and I would never take my 5 year old boy to it, almost any movie is to scary for him. I would however take my 3 year old daughter, she doesn't have issues with scary movies
