Stan Penfold was more direct and clear with his plans and thoughts. He has more vision and is more approachable and understandable. Phil was hard to follow at times and didn't speak of areas in the district besides the Avenues. Stan expressed interests for the entire district.

I don't know Mr. Penfold, but I do know Phil Carroll. I was one of his neighbors in the avenues way back in the early 1980s. He had some good ideas about our immediate neighborhood. He encouraged me to help my landlady by doing maintenance on her home. He also was involved in making sure his property was the kind of place that fits right in the avenues. He was good to his neighbors and those that lived on his multi-unit. He is very approachable and helpful. Good luck to both candidates in their campaigns and to the Avenues that they can continue being a special place in the city and state.
